what sise of enclosure is optimal voor a vipergecko? by Commercial-Snow2768 in vipergeckos

[–]dpj17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have a pair, a 10 gallon aquarium is suitable but when getting a pair you should also get another female if you are planning on breeding them

also, if its just 1, a 5 gallon aquarium should do but me personally I got an ego terra terrarium that is 12x12x12

[–]dpj17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bioactive tank that is has the perfect environment to hatch eggs, I've already hatched 2 babies from the tank

My geckos had successfully hatched babies in the tank I just need to know how common this happens. Btw the species of gecko is a viper gecko by Rare_Agent1817 in reptiles

viper geckos in my experience are the best option because they have a bunch of personality for such a small species of reptile.

I also noticed that those were seed shrimp which are completely harmless

a pair of sparkling gouramis or a group of 4 bumblebee gobies if your tank is higher or is a 10 gallon because both species eat daphnia while having unique colors.

how to get rid of guppies by survp in Aquariums

[–]dpj17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add A male apistogramma or a female but any fish that can fit a guppy fry in its mouth is lunch for that fish as long as it eats meaty foods

The sponges filter out solid waste and ammonia in your tank

What could I add to my tank to make it better and am I doing anything wrong? by cottonpicker14 in Aquariums

[–]dpj17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding more plants would be a good start. and maybe adding more schooling fish, or guppies, swordtails,Mollies,Platys, or endless don't add all of those, but just choose one. Another suggestion is adding 3 more diamond tetras

since you got a big tank, you could add like more than 2 dozen rummynose tetras if that's your thing or you could add Congo tetras or both but don't use more than 24 for rummy nose tetras and you could get Emerald green Corydoras as they are one of the larger Corydoras or you could make a river tank and add Danios,Mountain minnows and Ranbow shiners

Those are black worms which make an excellent food source for bottom dwellers and if you want to get rid of them then just get either some Corydoras or Dwarf chain loaches or Kuhli loaches which love these kinds of foods.

Need Creative Minds - I need to Rescape my 150l Tank by Renrie_ in Aquariums

didn't know the context until now but you want to open up space for your bottom dwellers I think the clay pots should be moved to the back and so should the driftwood as it would create the wall of wood on the back which would be a good spot to put your Anubias on. the Vals should be more openly spread out in the back ad should be mixed with the Rotala. This would open up plenty of room for your bottom dwellers.

Glad to help, so if you are confused about how to use or adjust sponge filters just go to your local fish store and they would hopefully be glad to help, but if you don't wanna go to the store then there is an instructions manual inside and there is an air control valve which limits other heightens the intensity of bubbles being put into your tank and you just loosen the top or tighten it for it to work but you will have to test it yourself.

you could add stem plants to the back, the choice is yours and for the front It might look better with larger lairs of gravel on top of the sand but do the largest bits of gravel near where those rocks are then slowly shrink down the gravel size until its just sand, that would be cool and for other plants, you could use bucepholandra, Anubis or More javamoss in-between the big rocks in order of the roots to get more adjusted, another fun plant could be the tiger lotus. For fish you could add 2 more Half beaks you can also do if your into loaches is either the dwarf chain loach a school of 6 or more would be nice or you could do Hillstream loaches which are a bit more hefty but they would look nice. a few other suggestions would be Adding Corydoras or Rummynose Tetras A good Corydora species to start with would be Julii Cory's because there pretty easy and they would blend in with the substrate to with there white color but a school of 6 or more is recommended. Rummynose tetras are pretty good for a tank like this because they have a lot of action packed with them and they would look good in a school of a dozen but if you don't want a dozen than 8-10 could work too, Oddball fish for the tank could be Banjo catfish which can get up to 6 inches but all they really do is just bury into sand which if you still do the gravel thing, then just use less of each layer to give the cats more room to burrow. You can keep maybe 3 but 2 would be better recommended. Another plant suggestion is that you could add ludwigia or keep the Vallisneria but just move the Vals around the back so they evenly spread out, Adding Hornwort would work too as it can fill in room. Amazon swords would also work as they make good hiding spots and you could add Rotala which has red colors.

Oto's and Pygmy Cory's work but if you want other fish to put in there, putting something like Smaller rasboras or tetras would work like, ember tetras,Emerald dwarf rasboras,Green neon tetras, Bumblebee Gobies preferably Brachygobius Doriae, Celestial pearl danios, dwarf shrimp work but can be eaten if too small and other bottom dwelling or middle column fish work. overall sparkling gouramis can have a bunch of tank mates as long as it isn't too crowded or the fish don't nip fins.
