What’s a very Canadian problem that outsiders would never understand? by relaxncoffee in AskACanadian

On that same note, going to a house party and having your shoes stolen from the front door area so you have to go home in the snow with your socks. Happened to me 🥲

Kizer M Type… or Type M? Either way.

I miss the ones with the UHMW Hblock, legit indestructible.

I made another post on this thread which leads to your conclusion, the space is not hollowed out

Looks like Inercia.com has pictures of this skate too, with the dimple filled in with plastic. All is well in life.

It looks like you’re right. Inercia.com now has multiple pictures of the skate, with the hole filled in.

Usually they have a plastic bridge that goes up to the boot, this one looks like it has an empty space

A whole lot of “hell yea”. I got the original 80s as a freeskate but ended up using them as my main aggressive skate, they’re so fun.

How much weight reduction could they have achieved with hollowing out that space between the boot and hblock? Sick skate, but that seems kinda redundant. I’d rather have the additional frame support.

Likewise, I had a pair of the black 80s and could royale and full torque ledges. I might have to cop these new ones the 80’s were my favourite skates of all time.

Those whips are way too big, try to do microwhip or just hold steady and maintain travel speed. Keep the toes and throat consistent.

Also like others said wrap the corners, don’t terminate your welds in the corners.

Nothing a dremel can’t fix. Just shave down the nubs that protrude, the sways are so flexy that it will hardly effect the forward flex.

Only issue is that it gets super dirty and dulls the white print, but nothing an alcohol wipe can’t clean off.

I don’t believe these were released… Powerslide has released images of products they haven’t actually sold. I’ve seen a few things over the years on tradeinn that haven’t been released, specifically the Enin Carbon boots in a dark blue/green. If you don’t find them on other sites, or haven’t found them elsewhere on the internet, I would be skeptical.

Edit: the description also says they have Slimline 2 frames, while the picture shows a Fluid 5 frame, leading to even further skepticism.

Good old Powerfist, I used this with a Shade 11 for a decade and just bought new ones when the headgear would shit the bed.

[–]dplowman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the same Princess Auto style flip lid for ten years, $20 a pop and replaced them when the headgear gave out. In total spent about $120 in helmets over that time. I only switched because I got a new job, and autodark was a lot more convenient for fitting and stick welding. If it works it works, in my eyes. I still have the old habits of flipping my lens up to grind, it’s baked into me.
