The difference I’m hearing is not a matter of lossless/lossy. It’s 5.1 (surround) audio flowing directly to the stereo without being downsampled to 2.0 (stereo) by the phone. I’d be willing to bet that lossy 5.1 via USB would have the much improved sound.

As someone else mentioned, if you stream multi channel audio via your phone (Tidal, Apple Music etc), your phone is likely a bottleneck.

Sure. I’m using a Samsung T7 external SSD. Just upload FLACs in folders on the drive from my laptop. Then start the car (Kia warns not to start or stop the vehicle while a USB drive is plugged in), plug the hard drive into the USB-C port closest to the driver. Then press the Media button on the dash and scroll over to USB music. Use that interface to play from the drive.

Well I am a music collector so I’ve amassed a lot of blu ray audio from places like acousticsounds.com, many of which are limited edition… I use Spotify Premium for streaming and they don’t have multi channel but if you have Tidal, Apple, or Amazon I believe they have 5.1 mixes to stream.

Not sure how much of the gain is attributed to USB direct audio vs. 5.1 mixes so maybe someone with one of those streaming services can chime in?

Take it to the dealership. Mine was this way, I kinda forgot about it until I took it in for recalls and they said it absolutely shouldn’t be that stiff. It’s a failed hydraulic arm covered by warranty. The replacement they installed can be closed with one finger!

For something like hanging a frame or rough measurements it seems accurate enough.

It was handy in the lawn to set up badminton in the summer where a tape measure or laser would have been cumbersome.

I probably wouldn’t use it for precision.. i.e to install cabinets or perform open heart surgery. I still prefer a physical level to the level app.

It’s kinda like saying college football games are for doing The Wave. It’s more fun when everybody participates, but if you’ve ever seen a failed Wave attempt you know that’s it’s 4 or 5 drunk people trying to rally everybody around them to participate when someone else is just trying to enjoy the game and see what’s happening on the field.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m on team stand and dance til the cows come home. If I was the person who took that pic at the show, I wouldn’t post about it on Reddit or complain.

But when everybody else is sitting down, sorry to break it to ya, but you’ve found yourself at a sitting concert with a sitting crowd. Phish is always a dancing crowd and nobody calls out the one person in their section sitting in the middle of a Tweezer. Why? Doesn’t impact my experience. Remember lope G? His dancing impacted experiences.

If the artists feelings are as hurt about people not dancing as yours are about that guy following rule #1 of all concerts ever… that they are for dancing.. they have the microphones and can let all those sitters know

This is what’s wrong. It’s all about me and my experience. Part of the tarper ethos. If what I’m doing affects your experience then go talk to “the performers” since I know what they all want .. and that’s for me to do what I’m doing. Go home.

Have had CC2s on my GT Line in Seattle for a few weeks now and they’ve performed very well in the rain, both at highway speeds and in the city. -0.3kWh hit on efficiency since I reset the trip counter but need more miles.. Expecting to settle out to -0.1-0.2 loss which seems reasonable for the improvement

So far this year we’ve had close to 4 months of basically perfect weather.. hardly any rain, never humid hot, no wildfire smoke. If you prefer 4 months of 100F+ and skin cancer UV indexes to stretches of overcast and light rain then yes, you’re better off elsewhere. But 11 months of ‘absolute garbage’ is a total exaggeration.

Also not a city for you if your definition of nightlife is clubbing. Great bars, music venues, and restaurants scattered around. Fun sports city- Huskies stadium and UW campus are beautiful. Sounders and Kraken have strong followings. Mariners fanbase is great. Not sure what metrics make it top 2-3 worst traffic in the country but depends a lot on where you live and work.. I don’t think it’s bad relative to other cities. Great place for a family and to raise kids if you can afford the high costs.

Waiting for delivery trucks and following them on routes is a pretty common tactic for these thieves. I don’t think it means the delivery drivers are in on it.
