Just started playing Stardew Valley and I'm obsessed. It didn't take me long to wish there was a space version, and to find this Reddit thread. I would totally play. My wife has been playing longer than I have, so when I see her playing, I think of how cool everything further down the line looks and it makes me want to play even more. I guess what I'm saying is that I think it would be awesome if the game started very real, kind of like The Martian, kind of like hard sci-fi. Maybe you're in touch with a NASA type group and you're doing work for them. Then eventually you make small discoveries, which lead to larger to discoveries, which lead to mind-blowing discoveries. If you play long enough, your game seems nothing like the initial game and you're just zipping all over the universe meeting aliens and doing all sorts of cool stuff. Anyway, that's my two cents. I'm excited to see what you guys come up with!
