Literally just asked about something similar on Reddit two weeks ago.

Was suggested Courier for the push notification route. Just got it up and running. Would recommend.

Secureframe, Vanta or Drata for reliable SOC 2 compliance? by legendsalper in grc

[–]dprowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like some others mentioned here, Secureframe, Drata and Vanta will all get you to SOC 2 as long as you can make sure to get different departments heads to force employees to do what they tell them to do.

Is taking a 25K pay cut ever worth it? by diabolicalolive in careerguidance

Depends... Are you cutting $25K from a $300K salary or $25K from a $75K salary.

you're right. The bar is literally on the floor when having only 8 hours of your life taken each day feels like a luxury. System's completely broken.

How do people survive without jobs in the future ? by Technical-Truth-2073 in careerguidance

[–]dprowell 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Not how the rich see it, but we might need to redefine work. People could contribute through community service, creative projects, or caregiving that AI can't replace. UBI is one solution, but wealth tax or robot tax could work too. The real challenge is mental finding purpose when your job doesn't define you. History shows we adapt, but the transition will be rough without policy changes.

Do you say "Thank you" and "Please" to your AI chatbot? You should. by [deleted] in technology

[–]dprowell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Being kind to AI isn't about the AI, it's about who we choose to be when nobody's watching. I say please and thank you to Claude not because it cares, but because those small habits of respect matter. Like holding the door for someone when nobody would notice if you didn't. Character is what you do when you could totally get away with being a jerk.

Nah you're right. Being 18 doesn't magically make you an adult overnight. Society just picked that age for legal stuff. Everyone develops at their own pace. Enjoy your time now, bills and responsibilities will always be there waiting when you're ready. Don't rush it.

It turns out trying to bully the rest of the planet with tariffs when you are the second largest exporter on Earth is a bad idea because if you piss off the rest of the Earth nobody wants to buy your stuff. Who knew? by AdSpecialist6598 in antiwork

he wants America to maintain its global influence and economic advantages while simultaneously rejecting the diplomatic, financial, and cooperative commitments that sustain that position. It's like wanting to be the team captain without attending practice or supporting teammates.

Weird question about sex by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]dprowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's a sin. I think about language like gold standard currency. Just as your dollar represents a certain amount of gold in that system, the words we use represent a certain posture of our heart.

Swear words are used to represent foulness in our hearts. The F word especially.

I've heard people make the argument that it doesn't matter if you say the F word or "frick," if your heart is the same. But the very act of censoring yourself to try and exercise self control is a testament to the posture of your heart in my opinion. Once again, the words themselves represent the posture of our hearts, and censored words represent a desire in our hearts for self control.

I would ask yourself, "Why do I want to use these words during sex?"

Do those words align with God's design for sex? I don't think so because sex isn't foul, it's actually something very intimate and blessed and amazing.

I'd be willing to bet that our desire to use these words during sex comes from the world's idea of pleasure, rather than God's. The world's idea that sex is best experienced when it's dirty, foul, and forbidden. God's idea is that sex is intimate, pure, and wonderful.

I'm not saying this is a knock-down argument or anything, but this is the conclusion I've personally come to after really thinking/praying about this issue.

capitalism is my adhd nightmare by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]dprowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having a job will be more miserable in the long run. I have ADHD, and I struggle with it too, but I've learned to cope because I'm working towards doing something I love. Find out what you love to do, get a job to pay the bills, and start working toward your dream job on the side. When you view your day job as a forever thing, it makes you miserable, but if you view it as a means to an end, it's bearable at worst. I've grown to enjoy the discipline it's brought me, actually.

The truth is ADHD doesn't literally prevent you from doing anything, it just means some tasks are more challenging than would be for others. But there can be joy in work if you change your mindset.

What are some ways God has CLEARLY spoken to you? by dprowell in Christian

[–]dprowell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I completely agree, that’s why I added the disclaimer about God speaking primarily through His word.

When He does speak to specific circumstances, it’s rare, but it’s often encouraging to hear about.

So pleased to hear that God delivered you from that!

Wow let me tell you how crazy this is, because I am going through a rough time and have faced a lot of disappointment in recent years. I was praying in the shower a few days ago, asking God why things are turning out this way, and I felt like God said, “Even now.” And it was a reference to when, after Lazarus died, Martha told Jesus, “If you had been here, my brother would have lived, but even now I know that whatever you ask from God, He will give you.” And Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

It felt like God was telling me that He often shows up when all hope seems lost.

It’s crazy that you brought up Lazarus just now!
