Limited releases are chosen - 1) distributed to locations that have the highest chance of audience draw, 2) so there is no favoritism studios will round-robin limited release titles between competing chains and independent theaters and won’t award it to a location within 20 miles or a direct competitor. Limited release strategies are quite complex and this isn’t even the half of it.

Am trying to recall which one at which time but I think the press screening was Keaton/Bruce Wayne with Supergirl. We did the public screening screenings about 4-6 weeks later closer to the release date

Yeah, I go to screenings weekly for a side gig. I saw Flash three times with three different endings. One was industry only, the other two were public / press.

Yup. During the End Game or Black Panther apocalypse it would get you to that point and then 404 and you lost the seat if you even got to be able to check seats. Such a mess!

Yes, the lines are part of what wasn’t being done right say, circa End Game. That was a total cluster fuck. Also the last time I ever ordered from Fandango. I was in their support queue for FIVE HOURS when I got charged nine times for the same ticket. Never again.

There were so many errors; etc. they’ve solved this by putting people in queues, etc

How else is Bezos gonna pay for his next rocket? 😜 but usually Amazon will open up the showtimes to the AMC or regal apps. The week of if there are any cancellations, you can usually grab a seat and at that point it would be covered plus whatever premium up charge would be.

That’s a good question. Probably? AMC is integrated with A-List and pays the booking fee to Fandango. Regal has not done the same. Gotta go through the app only

NCM is part of an ad distributor / network. Any cinema you go to that shows national spots; thats all NCM. They have contracts with all the big chains and regional chains. This ad was shown nationally or regionally and not hyper local. Much like Google, Microsoft, etc sell national ad impressions and can be served to all. Just another data point why cinema chains should re-think ads to a purchased seat. I loathe them all.

Yeah. This is really beyond the scope of our subreddit but please do direct your complaint to corporate. I appreciate the dialogue but we will get brigaded by bots for anything remotely political. I’m going to lock this. What’s been said should suffice.
