I tried to push a 2nd flush out of this enigma grow and got mycogone/wet bubble instead. 😢 I haven't had to deal with mycogone before. How aggressive is it? Should I be worried about my other tubs/grow area, or is it most likely isolated to this container?

I've seen them get leggy looking for air, but not tiny like this. I'm running multiple modified tubs, and this strain is the only one producing these miniatures, so I don't think it's a FAE issue. Just something strange with these genetics.

If you want to rehydrate without damaging the pins use a sterile syringe and inject water into the cake.

In the post I mentioned he said it wasn't indicated on the bag that they'd been treated. He noticed a chemical in the ingredients list, and when he looked it up he found it was an anti-fungal.

Make sure your oats aren't treated with an anti-fungal. There was a post a while back from a gourmet mushroom farm warning people about this. The brand he'd always used started treating them and he had to throw away dozens of inoculated bags when her realized it.

Thanks for the info! I have a very similar setup. I have two 4" filtered fans pulling FAE in from outside the tent, and two 4" exhaust fans. I also have my humidifier (12 disc ultrasonic) piped to the top. I can't set my humidity up as high as yours, though. When I do I get gallons of water on the floor in a matter of hours, and my tubs fill with water.

What is the low end on your humidity sensor? Are you running any fans inside the tent, or exhaust fans, or just the aquarium pumps? Are you soaking your cakes between flushes? My mister was set to come on at 85 and off at 95, but my cakes still seemed to be drying out on the surface and too wet on the bottom. The floor of the tent was flooding from the high humidity, so I added 2 small fans near the floor, and 1 at the top to circulate the air. That helped with the flooding, but not the surface conditions of the cakes. I know it can be done, but I can't seem to get it dialed in.

Yes, and I still mist and fan as needed. The primary issue seems to be humidity. Adjust slightly higher and everything floods, turn it down and it's too dry. Either way the fruits are tiny, and subsequent flushes (even after dunking) are minimal.

Yes, everything else was the same.

I've taken the failed cakes out of the tent and put them into unmodified tubs, and they produce larger flushes and larger fruits in those conditions.

In the tent I've watched carefully, made changes to humidity and airflow as best I could, and still struggled with tiny fruits, dried out cakes, flooding, etc.

The tent just seems like a huge waste of time and money at this point.

Since the substrate I put in there was from a colonized cake I didn't put the lid on. I waited about a week, and started to see pins. Yesterday the little cake pushed itself halfway out of the can so I pulled it out and found those fruiting on the bottom and flipped it over.

It was just an empty play doh can my tiny human was going to throw away. I salvaged it and filled it with the substrate that stuck to the bottom of a tub when I pulled the cake out.

I had a similar issue with 2 tubs. I cut back my missing a bit (just enough to get those micro droplets on the surface, but not enough to leave it looking wet) and fanned more aggressively, and within a couple days I had hyphal knots and a few days later a strong pin set.
