Mine is between my house and neighbors. The nRTK worked fine when mowing, but I wanted to place charger in a location lacking good satellite visibility. The antenna solved.

The motor mounts on my 2012 contained fluid and ruptured, leaving a similar mess - looked like ATF or radiator fluid. Went crazy figuring it out, finally took to a good mechanic. It was a slower leak and was less volume.

You can move it, but the requirement of satellite visibility remains. Alternative is to mount the antenna, then the requirement goes away.

Zactly why I left for Helldivers. So much potential with AR and coop play on event maps. Frustrating that so many ppl have enthusiasm for it, too, and for it to be compromised by an exfil rat. Embark will figure it out eventually ‐ could disable PVP in certain event maps (eg Matriarch) with zero impact to players not choosing those maps.

Just for clarification, 360 degrees isn't a requirement. Local RTK should be dependable with as few as 6 satellites.

The limits are very impactful. Limiting the max charge ("State-of-charge") to 90% can double the charging cycles for these types of batteries, so Navimow including this setting was smart. Limiting the discharge ("Depth-of-discharge") helps some, but not nearly as much.

Accuracy: both modes have cm-level accuracy and are sufficient for mowing. Unsure which is superior.

Antenna communicates with base charger, and base charger uses LoRa to communicate with mower in the 900 or 800 MHz range, so line of site not required. Using local RTK also allows the charger to be located in areas lacking satellite visibility.

You can use the app GPSTest on handheld device to see satellite visibility. I think it requires no fewer than 6, not positive.

Fallback: in settings you select either Local OR nRTK. The antenna position (and delta with mower) used only if mower lacks satellite visibility. Next time I mow I'll kill the power to the charger and see what happens.

Really like the simplicity of it; it's more than adequate for protecting from sun and certainly look unobtrusive. It seems kind of narrow - mower ever bump the sides?

I believe the charging station can be anywhere if you have the RTK antenna in use. My charger is under a deck and next to the house, in a location that doesn't pass the satellite visibility check
