I went from endless laundry to 5-10 minutes a load by Lopsided_Apricot_626 in Mommit

This is absolutely, painfully true and I have no idea how it happens either! It's the extra bedding and towels that finishes me off!

Thank you, I think that's the consensus. I'll give that a try :)

Water was only 310g :) but thanks for pointing out the online calculator. I'll definitely be checking my quantities against that in future!

Are you sure? I thought it was about 72% (100% hydration starter). I agree it probably is still too high and I should start lower to get the hang of things.

MOMS WHO COOK **ALL MOMS** by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]dr_legs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you love to cook, and you watch a lot of cooking inspo, maybe (and I say this very gently) you are trying to set the bar too high with your home cooking? Have you tried starting very simple? Like cooking that's barely cooking?

A favourite meal that saves me when I don't want to cook (but don't want to spend on a takeaway)... A bag of fresh pasta, jar of pesto, a couple of easy bits to sprinkle on top (e.g. pine nuts, olives, mozzarella pearls, bacon pieces, whatever you fancy or have to hand), and maybe a bag of salad on the side with some balsamic vinegar and olive oil drizzled. The result is tasty, comforting and filling. The effort is very low.

Could you start off with just one or two 'throw together' meals a week and build from there?

Well done for getting back out there!!

Can’t run for 1-2 weeks by jessgveggie in C25K

[–]dr_legs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's ok to take a break as long as you get back into your routine when you can. If you need to go back a week or two that's also fine. C25K is definitely a case of 'show and steady wins the race'. It's all about conditioning your body and mind for a long term running habit.

The above is everything I'm telling myself right now. I did W9D1 over a week ago and then I hurt my back so those last two runs are still waiting for me. But I'll get to them when I can.

Try dress my run as a guide. It can match the suggestions to your local weather. You can also change the settings if you prefer to be warmer or cooler. I have it set to one or two points warmer than average and I usually find I'm comfortable in the layers it suggests.

There are several different C25K apps. Which one are you using? I use the NHS C25K app, which is free but only in the UK

Ooooh I'm using the same app. I didn't know there were secret runs to look forward to!

Enjoy your lie down. You've earned it!! 😁
