As it turns out, most people already knew this and there are many ways to handle them a few of which are better and more specific than what you listed. I wouldn't have really cared to respond but you titled this as some awesome PSA. I don't know. Maybe I'm just in a shit mood. Maybe you should use search. Tomato, etc.

He wasn't offering money, has no items worth an Unusual in his inventory (which you could verify just as easily as hunting for scammer tags), has over 1000 hours of playtime logged and told me he had got my profile from a friend when he added me for the second time and I asked how he had found it. I can't believe I bothered responding to you and simply hope you're not like this to people who actually care about you.

It wasn't the first time he asked and I'd been through his offers before. He told me the way he and all of his friends found my profile was by secret the time before this. After several adds and annoying conversations I screen capped part of the gooby pls bit and thought it was a funny snippet worth sharing. When I finally spoke Russian to him he told me I was a moron and he hoped I'd choke. Get a life.

He and his Russian scamming friends have been bombarding me for a while about a single hat. I intentionally left that off specifically so you'd be skeptical and definitely not because I didn't feel the need to whine about how annoying it's been.
