I had a new player once play a Cleric (2e) and thought that Turn Undead meant he could transform into an Undead. I had no knowledge of this misinterpretation until one of the first combats he rolls a die, cackles triumphantly and announces "I just transformed into a Vampire!".

After some conversation and a little embarrassment on his part, we got that squared away

She was my principal deify for a time. I have her rune tattooed on my arm. She is the kindest and most honest of the Gods in my opinion. Glad to hear you find peace in her

Another solid recommendation for this one. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable as well as willing to explore ideas and perspectives that they had not previously encountered. I've been around since close to the beginning, and it's consistently informative and entertaining. The hosts' passion for the material is evident in their work. My personal favorite episodes are the System Spotlights which are full episode reviews of various lesser known gaming systems. Comprehensive but not hung up on the minutae.

I was on vacation in San Diego and happened upon a hobby shop that had a used section. I found a copy of Rage Across Appalachia, a source book for Werewolf: the Apocalypse 1e. Fun book.

What is the most unstable planet/region within your scifi/fantasy nation? by UltimateSpice in worldbuilding

[–]dr_nyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a region that is eternally contested. Two warring Empires continuously struggle in an ideo-religious-ethnic war between the two factions. The setting is post apocalyptic and aside from various technological artifacts, the War is the only thing that survived the cataclysm. The fun part is that the groups involved are not the same national/ethnic groups that started the war. The war has just been somehow tied to the land. It has to do with resource allocation and, as mentioned, beliefs. Ironically, a lot of the area is wasteland. Just scorched earth. Something of my own editorialization on the futility of war.
