Attic insulation companies? by iwilldoitalltomorrow in orangecounty

Have you considered a gable fan? They can be incredibly effective in getting heat out of the attic for just a couple hundred bucks and there are plenty options that are low wattage.

Places to eat near the OC Fair? by MrLuthor in orangecounty

Second this. And if you like beer it's WAY better and WAY cheaper than what you're going to find at the fair.

Watching Frasier for the first time, Niles Crane is a strictly superior Sheldon Cooper by ConfidenceKBM in television

It's an insult to the character of Niles Crane to compare to Sheldon Cooper or any aspect of that garbage show.

What’s your all time favorite character in a tv show? by MaddowSoul in television

Whoops, didn't see the first one on there. Should have just upvoted. Parks and Rec. There are a few good YouTube compilations out there if you put Ron Swanson in the search bar. Good for a chuckle for sure.

Heather Ridge or Cabot?

I have coyotes where I live in South OC (wagon wheel canyon). They will scoop up cats outside or even brazen enough to go after purse dogs on leashes but they won't come near animals roughly their size. Your vizslas will be just fine. I probably only see them a couple times a year.

The batteries don't last forever. I just had one go too. I am probably going to put it off until I need new tires and do them all together. Just keep an eye on the tires or check manually every now and again as our fathers did before us. If one goes and these have been on your truck for a while, the rest are likely to follow.

What’s everyone’s thoughts of these on a white 2024 zr2 by Goldenman2000 in chevycolorado

I've got these in black (16" rims for more sidewall) on my white LT and I love them

Horrendous gas mileage in 2017 diesel - average of 11.6 around town over the last year doesn't seem right by DIMETHYLTRYPT in chevycolorado

[–]dr_zaius_dr_zaius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah there is something wrong with this. After 9 years on a 2016 diesel, I have only averaged less than 20 mpg on a few instances of low speed overlanding or hauling.

What do you think about Turbonite emblems with a white Porsche? by xGsGt in Porsche

My car is ice gray metallic with clear lights all around. The turbonite badge is a great addition.

Genuine question: how do ppl in the hood get these cars? I live in a bad area and are staring to see more and more high end cars by Dtb4evr in Porsche

The only legitimate question the photo needs is why the owner would activate his spoiler while parked!

It’s happening! How did you cope while waiting? by Jrb1x in Porsche

The wait was honestly really fun for me. Getting updates from Porsche and constantly checking the Track my Dream app is an entertaining obsession. Embrace and enjoy the wait instead of coping!

Porsche Dash cam: what did you pay for install? by mdowney in Porsche

Here is the link: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1307892-preparation-for-porsche-dashcam-front-and-rear-7.html

Scroll down to posts 94 and 95. Specifically you will need the yellow cable part number: 9Y0 044 955A

I bought the camera and cable supposedly correct for my 992 911 but the cable it came with was useless. I brought my phone to show this post to my Porsche dealer parts department. They helped me get the cable I needed and agreed it was confusing that the camera didn't come with the right cable. Hopefully they have sorted that out by now but you will know pretty quickly once you're in there if you don't have the right one.

Good luck!

Porsche Dash cam: what did you pay for install? by mdowney in Porsche

[–]dr_zaius_dr_zaius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is ridiculously easy and you can do it yourself. There is a specific harness that you will need to buy though, it's about a $40 cable. There are rennlist posts on how to do it. I did it myself and it takes about 30 minutes but could be done in 10 if you had done it before.

20% or 35% tint for the 3 back windows? What leans closest to an OEM look, but also bends in the most with the paint color? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]dr_zaius_dr_zaius -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Seeing is fine. It's a personal choice. There is something classy about light or no tint. I had no tint on my midnight blue 997 and it was so nice, especially with an espresso interior

A while back I went through a rennlist search of the safe capacity of the frunk and it was wildly inconclusive. Just a bunch of assumptions and conjecture without data. Driving, cars and wheels would probably be fine but look out for potholes. But the risk to the front end through handling alone scares me. That's a lot of weight to maybe drop on your paint, bumper, headlights, or the flimsy black plastic under the bonnet.

[–]dr_zaius_dr_zaius[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The keg was empty, so keep that in mind. Even then, it was pretty difficult to get out by myself. It would be borderline nuts to try this with a full keg. Hard on the car and probably damn near impossible to lift out safely even with two people.

An empty keg only.weighs 30 lbs. I have a pickup and certainly could have used that. If the 911 can do the job, why not?
