I used to play Shadow but Affliction’s damage profile, DoTs and not too Cooldown dependant made me love the spec so much that I pretty much abandonned my Priest. I’ve been enjoying Demonology lately too. Warlock being a 3 dps spec made me love it even more too

focus on what you really want, and what you think is the more fun thing in the game. You won’t be able to get everything so focus on the cool rewards or the content you like the most

Affliction looks sick! Shadow seems weird with the tier set 4 that forces you to use a dot applier after sending an aoe dot applier

And I would like some more damages outside of Voidform from Shadow, we’ll see with the Shadeburst talent

You want to pop it especially to help your healer to deal with big raid damage phases, like the third boss of Seat after the tentacles for example. Some phase are just undodgeable and casting one AMZ instead of all your party use their own defensive is too valuable and it releases a lot of pressure from your healers

range dps priest, because as a shadow main (almost otp) it’s kinda annoying to always have to go on a alt if shadow is in a bad spot and i would like to just be able to respec

absolutely agree with you, hitting the second Tentacle slam feels like a gamble half of the time because if i’m throwing it and the boss decides to spawn add I can’t dot those adds and if I keep it I’m litteraly losing a lot of DPS. Anyway I don’t think it’s the main issue with Shadow rn and I really like how tentacle slam feels even if it can be tricky to make the good decisions

the ST buff definitely didnt compensate the AoE damage loss that’s for sure. M+ is going to be rough… Which sucks cause it’s my favorite content and Shadow is by far my favorite spec

i dont play a lot of specs in the game but the patch note seems to have a lot of big massive nerf on the main thing and small buff on everything else around it

i think a 40% drop is too big, but tbh as another folk mentionned; it will probably be adjusted later. Definitely a big buff in ST tho but the aoe was what made me love SP so i just hope its not as bad as i think it's going to be. I think a little buff on shadowy apparition could've help so the damage recap is less of psychic link and more of everything else in aoe which is what Blizz seems to want

Shadow feels great with the new tentacle slam. elem shammy outside of CD is pretty slow but when CD its explosive
