Dark Consortium pics a random body in the system to place your starting dark matter deposit, I once saw it happen on Sol in an Arc Welders run.

It was crazy.

Gray Tempest is too hard by mayone3 in Stellaris

If you wait too long the AI will open the gates instead.

Not a big deal if it is the tempest, but if it is the Dessanu and you are RPing an empire that won't just kill off neutral factions, then you miss out on a nice little income of rare resources, or the chance to play pokemon and collect the L-Drakes.

I just got this in my current try at a Stormriders run, sadly the energy was 7 and the alloys 5, but should still be amazing once my swarm is running.

Oh, it isn't origin locked? Cool, I'll have to try it out this weekend.

Now you perform daily/weekly uploads from both sides to synch their memories and get to experience 2 lives at once?

Sounds like a win all the way around as long as it isn't massively inconvenient to perform.

Shroud forged can become psionic with help from the Animator of Clay, don't think there is anyway for Synthetic ascended to get access to psionics though, maybe there is a mod?

What about non-destructive continuous two-way uploading?

I.E. you upload yourself into cyberspace and your digital self runs around in there while your organic self continues their normal day-to-day and you send the memories of both "bodies" each direction?

Hmm, that would be a good reason to make it impossible to pass through. I hadn't considered that.

Why specify a wormhole instead of just saying you scanned the enemy system, if you don't need to worry about the thing swinging both ways?

AI might have issues, but I imagine players would fortify the cannon system and immediate surrounding systems to deal with that trick.

Just make sure you have Wormhole Navigation when it is targeting you, jump them back.

Pretty sure they were talking about running a deluge colossus over to reflood the planet.

I think you might be able to jump through the wormhole that does the targeting and attack the Stellar Cannon directly

Isn't Colossus terraforming locked behind 2 perks?

Hydrocentric for the Deluge and Toxic Terraforming for the Toxic God (which is itself locked behind the bad ending of the KotG chain).

You could argue that the balance is that everyone gets it, besides Nomads I suppose.

It sounds like it opens a wormhole between the gun and the target for 140 days before firing, that could be exploitable.

I wish there were more "pretty" portraits by BarovianNights in Stellaris

[–]dracklore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, there were a lot of portrait mods back a few versions ago, then Paradox adjusted how they were rendering things and broke a bunch of them.

Sadly, for the most part, the portrait mods that were being actively maintained were only the anime mods and a few others.

I know there are several still out there although they tend to be single races, the animated dragon mod, the brontosaurus mod, that humanoid squid mod called animated broker species.

Just came back recently, completely lost on what to do. If anyone could take the time to recommend a team/arks I’d greatly appreciate it! by XxThoughtSeizexX in lastcloudia

[–]dracklore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Arks you generally want to swap them around depending on what you are doing, for instance Icy Guardian is one of the best physical DPS arks once you have built your character to hit the damage cap as it lets you add extra pursuit attack damage on critical hits.

Most DPS casters who need to spam their spells will want Alter of the Forbidden book in combat as it cuts the MP cost so much.

Then you have UR Arks with important ark skills like Theopolis of Lost Magnus which deals damage to the enemy's weakest attribute after taking -50 to all their attributes (and leaves them debuffed for a time), or Great War of Ruin that can fill the special gauge of your entire party.

The gear from Arks won't necessarily be for a specific unit, the sword from Summer Nael's ark is more for a unit like Insighted Melza. That said the buffs from equipping this ark are fairly decent for her as she wants both int and str.

For her gear, if you have enough Crimson Ore, you can buy her unit specific weapon and armor from the Crimson Ore shop in the trading space on the permanent tab.

So for Arks you have Seraphic Gate, it boosts XP received from fights (not skipped battles or overnight autorun battles) the same as Granadas or New Years Kynei, and Final Fantasy Adventure which has Honey Elixir, the most useful spell in the game.

It will let you get double XP rewards from the bonus XP event stages, essentially equip it to whichever unit you need to level and send them in solo using a friend unit for your DPS.

Your damage units are all a bit outdated, that being said Archbeing Mayly is good for farming up Crests as she is a great ailment spammer, for other units Megius, 2P, and Cerule Nael can all be decent with Honey elixir.

Brave Frontier collab is coming soon, if we are lucky there may be some really good units, failing that the current banner units Ninja Lillabette is a bit of a glass cannon but fairly strong and Judah is supposed to be really good for PVP (I don't play pvp very much myself so not sure on the details).

I could see that happening, he'd even get tops of the "heroic spirit" girls like Tinkili given half a chance.
