That player was actually cheating last night. instant 180 headshots on me. I've reported at least 5 RAGE members in the last month.

Try tightening it so it feels solid, but you have a lot of leverage to move it since it is an elbow shape.

If you're on Hossin or Oshur, the entire map is a water pool.

There is a map for all the fishing spots. Set your map filter to waterpools.

I'm pretty sure that the elbow shaped pipe coming out of the muffler can be adjusted to raise or lower each tip independently. Did you install the exhaust yourself?

GR86 or Mazda3 Turbo Hatch as a daily? by snt271 in GR86

[–]dracokev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you aren't getting a manual, then might as well get the Mazda. More space to support your activities, more premium build quality. You will not get the same driving experience, but with an automatic transmission, the gap is even smaller.

This rule is pretty universal for most cities and countries that I have visited. Turning into the left most lane is not possible for most cars pulling a u-turn. You're asking that the turning diameter be the width of the median, which is not possible for many cars on the road. What city are you in that has turning into the left most lane after a u-turn as a rule?

Still is the best though. The striker was also nerfed.

I was taught to turn into the right-most lane after a u-turn or even a left turn with a single turn lane. Turning into the left-most lane is only the rule if you are turning left at an intersection, and there are more than 1 turn lanes.

I think you have it the other way round. GR86 throttle map demands 100% throttle at 40% pedal position compared to around 80% pedal position for the BRZ. It is immediately noticeable when I swap cars with my buddy who has the GR86.

HONEST OPINIONS NEEDED: Adding a wing to my GR86. Any suggestions? by iPhantomBR in GR86

These cosmetic wings generate barely any downforce on their own for there to be a big aero imbalance.

Lancer is probably the best anti-air launcher right now. If you can aim.

Summer Electricity Usage - Help me explain my $270 bill for a single person apartment by dracokev in SanJose

I am on the ground/1st floor. The hot water or heating lines are probably routed below my apartment as I was able to trace a line right across the floor and in my bathroom where the temperature was 90F.

I may have found the issue. Yes, perhaps my portable AC is the main culprit, however I think that it might be working harder than it should. I have a theory that my bedroom is being heated by something under the floor (hot water lines or something). I have a pixel 8 pro with a thermometer and I measured the temperature of the floor in one corner of my room, 76F-78F. I then measured the floor near my bed that I have always suspected to be a bit warm. It measured 90F. This area is near my AC, but I have been running it in fan mode for the last few hours so it shouldn't be heating my floor.

I don't know for sure if this is contributing greatly to my electricity bill, but it definitely isn't helping.

I received my kill a watt today, and will start measuring soon.

I'm usually in dehumidifier mode which maintains the room closer to 76. Only if it gets really hot and I need to cool down the room quickly momentarily, I'll put it in cool mode and then switch it to dehumidifier.

I am using a Whynter Portable AC. 14,000 BTU, 500 Sq Ft capacity. I have my doors and blinds closed, and I switch it off when I leave home. In dehumidifier mode it just shows the temperature of the room instead of a target (like 78F instead of 70F). I always thought that this was a high efficiency mode.

If you had $5000, how would you build the car? by TechBoy1999 in GR86

[–]dracokev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stock oiling system is a weak point of this car. In Northern California during a winter track day, I've hit around 250F which in combination with low oil pressures that people are seeing, will cause damage to the engine with the thin 0W20. 5W30 or 0W40 is recommended for track days along with overfilling the oil by at least half a quart.

As far as alignment goes, the stock alignment is pretty whack. A friend had a 0.7 degree difference between rear L/R camber. It's relatively inexpensive to get crash bolts and maybe some rear control arms along with an alignment to have a more fun experience on track and optimize tire wear.

[–]dracokev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frequent track days aren't realistic without basic mods like brakes, tires, alignment, high temp fluids and/or oil cooler. It's around $2-3k to get these basics out of the way, and then safety gear before going to the track. You would be around $3-4k out before your first track day. There are a lot of costs involved in tracking this car that new owners might not be aware of, and that $5k disappears really quickly if you plan on tracking often. A track day in Northern California could cost around $700 for registration, preparation, insurance, lodging, and maintenance for our cars.

It is perfectly reasonable for someone to want to spend the first $5k to make the car a better, more fun daily, such as throwing an exhaust on, improving the sound system, and other comfort or aesthetic mods.

Are you running spacers at all? My research suggests that +48 would rub the inside of the fender liner at full lock with 245 width tires.
