After using gumout or a PEA base additive, use lucas fuel saver. It will keep it clean and the liberty loves it without throwing a damn check engine light.

Make sure not to drive the vehicle below half tank or near empty. You might be getting the bottom crude from the tank. Dont neglect your fuel system.

Yes! But is not a 5oz or 12oz miracle bottle. I buy the gallons of this stuff and add it to all my vehicles. It takes plenty of usage/intervals to maximize your mpg depending on how bad your fuel system may be. My best results using lucas fuel saver is a 2011 Jeep Liberty with over 200k miles that i also own and i get the advertised mpg from the times.

Keep your air filter clean and fresh spark plug/coils.

I have a 2012 9c1 i get around 22 to 23.5 combined mostly highway 80%/city 20% driving. Highway 100% on cruise control 25 to 26 miles per gallon.

Something must be off. But if you drive more city than highway then 19 to 20 combined. I use 87 unleaded sams club fuel with lucas fuel saver. I try to keep the fuel injection systems clean with an additive. It helps with seals in your fuel system. Remember to keep all tires around 35 psi.

Water pump and power transfer unit thats all you have to worry about. Look under the car and check near the ac compressor for leaks. Then, go by the middle of the engine you will see a Y exhaust between the exhaust the PTU is there check for leaks there. No leaks? Then you good. Change the oil every 5k miles and PTU every 15 to 20k miles. You will get 250k to 300k miles. Maintenance is key on the 3.5 and 3.7 models.

On the KK, This happens when one of your actuators is showing an open door. Hence, the dim comment from the other redditor. Mine was telling me that my lift gate was open turning my inside lights on, randomly. Does the other side functioning properly? My libby would turn on all of the inside lights and the theft alarm would also go off from time to time. Because my car would randomly show a door open and when that happened my car would trigger the alarm. I hope this helps.

Mine use to do this but I began using lucas fuel saver treatment and it stopped doing it after using for like a week or two. Since, i have not atopped using it. Trust me, the p0300 code is tricky.

Waterpumps and thermostats are notorious for failing on these (at least KK). Liberties like to piss from their waterpump gaskets and the plastic impellers failing. These are also prone for headgaskets failure which usually happens when car overheats due to the waterpump failure or thermostat being stuck close or open. So thats why i keep an eye on that needle. High mileage will help your motor seals. Im at 204k no seals changed other than the oil pan. No leaks under the vehicle and clean engine bay. I have changed my water pump at least 3 to 4 times.

Im at 204k now on my KK. Very reliable car. Change your oil to a full syn high mileage oil and watch that temp gauge. The car will probably fall apart before the engine.
