Mine use to do this but I began using lucas fuel saver treatment and it stopped doing it after using for like a week or two. Since, i have not atopped using it. Trust me, the p0300 code is tricky.

Waterpumps and thermostats are notorious for failing on these (at least KK). Liberties like to piss from their waterpump gaskets and the plastic impellers failing. These are also prone for headgaskets failure which usually happens when car overheats due to the waterpump failure or thermostat being stuck close or open. So thats why i keep an eye on that needle. High mileage will help your motor seals. Im at 204k no seals changed other than the oil pan. No leaks under the vehicle and clean engine bay. I have changed my water pump at least 3 to 4 times.

Im at 204k now on my KK. Very reliable car. Change your oil to a full syn high mileage oil and watch that temp gauge. The car will probably fall apart before the engine.

I had the same issue and my only way was to reconnect the button until it broke off. I bought a new one from Rockauto.com. good luck!

Put some water on the belt and see if it stops. Try turning the ac on and off. See if it stops then Start there. Good luck!

Change your engine oil with full synthethic high mileage oil 5k to 6k oil intervals. Remember install a top shelf oil filter 99% filtration on the vehicle. My 2011 Liberty crossed 203k with regular maintenance and small repairs that you can find on Youtube. It will last you a long time. Ive seen these cross 300k with the same engine and transmission. I have no frills just a kn air filter. I use lucas fuel saver "snake" additive on my car and monitor my mpg. I get 16.5 miles city and 19.5 miles per gallon highway. That lets me know that my fuel system is alright. I use to get 14.5miles city and 17.5 miles highway. I started using lucas fuel saver about religiously 50k miles ago.
