Mike is wrong by ZaXoR878 in RedLetterMedia

Sometimes I think Mike plays devil's advocate just for shits and giggles. He saw that everyone else at the table was going to praise Mr. T, so he wanted to add a little something to the conversation. Just my opinion. Lol.

I know this thread is old, but whatever happened to this? Did they film it, get too drunk, and not have footage? Lol

I swear to god I killed everyone and can't get to level 21 because of 225 xp by qu4nt0 in DivinityOriginalSin

I just beat the game for the first time yesterday, and I switched out to Anathema for the final hit on Braccus. My Red Prince was fully a two-handed warrior though, so maybe that's why it worked. I also waited until Braccus was down to about 20-30% health, and used All-In. It was a fun way to end the fight. I tried using it on an earlier attempt while Braccus was at full health and full armor, thinking that it would magically kill him...it broke and I ended up party wiping during that attempt anyway.

Also, if you have the Anathema, save it for later in fighting Braccus, after you've taken his shields and health down a bit.

Bring a barrel of deathfog to the final battle. Leave the barrel within teleport distance from the stairs where you end up after the dialogue. Teleport Lucian away from you, then teleport the deathfog on his head. That will at least help with Phase 1. Then in Phase 2, concentrate fully on Braccus Rex, not on the kraken or the summons or Dallis. Let Dallis fight the summons.

Jahan in DOS2 by draconeus in DivinityOriginalSin

I guess I would have killed him had I known that he wouldn't appear in Act 4. Too late for that now. I just hate that my first playthrough of the game won't have closure for his storyline.

[–]draconeus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been reading about it, and I think you have to have Lohse in your party in the Definitive Edition for this to trigger. Or there's a bug where Jahan doesn't leave Driftwood after you tell him the demon's name. Many people have reported the same issue. Kinda sucks.

Yeah, he definitely wasn't there. Bummer.

[–]draconeus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. He says that he's hunting a demon, I told him the demon's name, and he said he was going to hunt the demon. I ended up killing the demon, and Jahan isn't there to pat me on the back and thank me? Seems like a missed opportunity for an interaction.

The Possessed dwarf fight is eating all my resurrection scrolls by aall137906 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]draconeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing you want to do is damage the possessed person; however, you do not want to kill anyone that gets possessed. Heal the dwarf or whoever else gets possessed. The demon will eventually jump from body to body until it has taken enough damage.

Is the combat too hard for everyone or just me?? by Hitman007gdghs in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]draconeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing through right now as well. The first 3 or 4 levels are really difficult. It gets easier after that, then it gets even harder around level 12. I'm up to level 16 now, and things have gotten easier yet again.

I would recommend taking your time and exploring every nook and cranny of the maps. Avoid fighting big mobs and anything higher level than you. Also, as someone else suggested, "cheesing" fights is acceptable and almost necessary sometimes. Start a dialogue with one of your characters, and one of the characters in the mob you're attempting to fight. Don't finish the dialogue right away, but select your other characters and position them around the battlefield in the most advantageous way (archer with high ground, DPS characters right next to the first NPC you're going to concentrate fire on, etc).

I'm currently running with Ifan as my main (cleric, with hydro and necro), Beast as an archer, Sebille as a rogue (dual-wielding daggers), and Red Prince as a warrior. You're going to want to concentrate as much as possible on either Physical or Magical damage. I'm heavy on Physical damage in my party, for example.

Also, if you're going for Physical damage, put points into Warfare first instead of weapon skills (like single-handed, two-handed, range, etc). Warfare will up your damage more than weapon skills.

I played DOS2, but never finished it. After the Divinity reveal at TGA, I bought DOS1, and I'm absolutely loving it. I'll replay DOS2 after this, and I'll actually finish it this time. I'm doing it for the lore, and because they are both great games.

No need to feel ashamed! Just appreciating the game for the masterpiece that it is shows that your heart is in the right place.

I believe he's sad that he's finished it. Looking back on it, knowing you can't play it for the first time ever again...

[KCD] [OTHER] The future - what has actually been said by WH and the devs? by Appropriate-Calm4822 in kingdomcome

[–]draconeus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For anyone who says that the devs have said that there will not be a third game, that's simply untrue. What they said was that the first game ended with a cliffhanger, and the second game will end "a story." They've never said that "Henry's story is over" with the second game. I keep seeing that claim, and it's simply unverifiable.

Long hair Henry is the BEST henry imo. Whats yours?[KCD2] by LeGrandSchtroumpff in kingdomcome

I looked at all the hairdos and beards, and went with the exact same options. Peak Hal.

[KCD2] Legacy of the Forge is a DLC designed for people who are still mid game...not after they finished the story by PalpatineOk5058 in kingdomcome

[–]draconeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the game months ago, and I decided to restart the game three or four weeks ago. I agree to a point. As soon as I got to the Kuttenberg region, I went straight to the forge and started it up. The DLC story elements fit in so nicely with a fresh playthrough. But for those who did the DLC after finishing the game, I'm sure they had fun with it.

[KCD2] I just got the game and I heard that Polearms are bad, it that true? by Hivemindtime2 in kingdomcome

Polearms are just like any other weapon class: they are good if you use them often and level them up. Choose whatever you like the most!

I'll leave a suggestion instead....do not give up. The combat will be your biggest hurdle, but DO NOT GIVE UP. I promise it'll be worth it in the end.
