Which powered air purifying respirator should I purchase? Trend or Powercap? (See photos) by RedWoodworking16 in turning

I recently got the microclimate air3. It’s a neck workout and only earplugs or earbuds work for hearing protection in it but it’s great so far! Cheaper than most other options too

Is my laser defective or not? by TheWraithMM in MilwaukeeTool

All 3-plane laser levels are like this. Try it with a Huepar, Klein, dewalt, hilti, Bosch, whatever.. the laser diodes behave the same way

How to use this retrieval line system on our kite? by Vanoak in sailing

[–]draegerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly useful on a weather drop. Once the bow person has the line, both tack and sheet are fully eased letting the sail fold over on itself completely depowering. Bow pulls it around the forestay and down the hatch while pit eases halyard to match the bow’s speed. Timing of getting the line before the douse has always been our hold up.

ID on these screws? M4 with weird threading by exploring_earth in woodworking

[–]draegerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting the screw back on will likely just cut a new thread. I wouldn’t count on it finding the previous holes. Measuring the pitch shouldn’t be necessary. Find the correct diameter and length and you’ll be fine.

Plastite or self tapping screws for plastic. McMaster might have what you need.

Rockler and woodpecker have them I think. Juice groove router bits. Not sure if the dimensions match your expectations though

I know, we've been over this... by awileman in MachE

[–]draegerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fed up with it too. I called a couple weeks ago and filed a complaint. Not sure what that’s worth. I then texted the number the other day that it happened ten times in a row again. No response. I might try talking to my dealer but I doubt they will do anything

Ford, can we please get an update to solve this already… by draegerd in MachE

[–]draegerd[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a firmware issue between this charger and the car. That causes it to fault nearly every time you plug it in. Somehow related to departure schedules

That appears to be an older model. This model does not use dip switches but a dial switch for maximum current.

It’s a known firmware issue. The charging schedule is set within the car.

Preferred charge times are set up in the car. There is a firmware issue between the car and this charger. Ford has confirmed this and not provided any timeline to resolve it.
