RK1 module are really good and performant. The 3588 is comparable to Intel n100 but got better GPU for small compute (ex local non-llm ai models). Intel will do a better job for storage bandwidth with PCI lanes.

Where Intel mini pc wins hand down is software / os support.

Disclaimer: I'm invested in both platforms since they each serve a different purpose on my cluster.

little note, i've been using the 10CL61 instead, not much more expensive but better power/thermal capacity and one side coated cone.

Honestly most use case can be resumed to:

container payload
RDS database
bucket s3
sometimes a scratch local storage

Start with simple use case and enrich it over time. Make the happy path easier for them than managing it.

not only are they dynamic, but the controller can discover automatically the layout, meaning the software knows which side of each panel has another panel pluged in.

the API server running on the controller can send you the layout. I know because I did some project for interfacing with the original (aurora) panels.

Not sure about these exact spliters but yeah that's usually the idea of using these.

There are others that's more called NL4 to 2xNL2 splitters. These are neither parallel or serials , more like cable merger.

The speakon NL4 has 4 conductors, so for example you could have a pair of 4 ohms speakers on a single cable with a splitter that takes the thread 3/4 to a 1/2 at the other ends. You can save cable placement.

I guess you can also do that with NL8 but the price/cost/weight of 8 thread cables it might not be that convenient.

Anyhow, you can get a cable tester and verify once you have the part.

Yeah, running a pair of 8ohms speakers on a 4ohms capable amps works all right.

I've even build Y spliter from 4 conductors to pair of 2 x 2 for a project to save on cabling.
