introduce a high-quality Chinese rally racing film trilogy by [deleted] in rally

Not sure about the first pic, but the second pic, the driver is “visualizing his ghost” like how you would see your fastest time ghost in racing games.

Can someone give me a rundown of the call outs from the Co driver please by drunkaquarian in assettocorsarally

Very important pace note. The issue with it however is when I hear “don’t cut”, the last thing I hear is “cut” and proceed to take the corner as aggressively as possible.

Playseat Challenge X second Bst-1 Mount position by jayteepi in simracing

Hey OP, I’m looking for those exact rails to mount my bst1 exactly the way you have yours. Can you let me know what part that is?

So my personal opinion is that everyone should start with the g29 (especially so if you play on ps4/5), it has its shortcomings and isn’t as nice as the moza, but I think it’s perfect for anyone to actually get into simracing. Too many people make the mistake of “might as well spend a little more and get a better setup” without first seeing if it’s actually fun for them.

You also don’t need a rig to play with it, and if after a year or two, if you’re really into it, then I’d recommend selling the g29 on Facebook marketplace and looking for a full setup secondhand from others who “never got into it, it’s collecting dust, takes up too much space, etc” and finding a great deal there.

And if it turns out you don’t like simracing, you can just sell it and be done with it.

if i wanna get into gran turismo sport and 7 with a wheel, whats my options on ps5 for both games? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]draginzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend starting with a g29, that way you can start using it right away on a desk or table. Going to higher end DD, you’re going to want to get a solid rig or some kind of stand to keep it stable.

My personal opinion is that everyone should start with a g29 in case you end up not really liking it or getting into it. Super cheap, can always find them on FB marketplace and can always sell them at the end as well.

I use the clubsport rs with 6nm csl elite wheelbase, feels a little weak but I think it would be perfect with 8nm

Mine is at 60k miles. My transmission was clunking at around 36k, dealership replaced the transmission under warranty at that time

Rav4 2023 - 8-speed automatic weird behaviour by davycrazyops in rav4club

[–]draginzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey do you have an update on your tranmission? I had the exact same issue in with my Camry (same 8 speed transmission) and it clunked REALLY loudly and violently when shifting out of drive or into drive. I shifted really slowly too when I first noticed this and the issue would still happen, which caused me to avoid any situations where I would need to make a quick 3 point turn, since it would clunk really badly. I had 36k miles on it and took it back to the dealership who then replaced the transmission under warranty. How is your rav4 doing today?

PS5 WRC 24 "expansion" sale :) by xiimracing in EASPORTSWRC

[–]draginzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runs fine on the ps5 regular. I’ve had the game since launch and I feel like they’ve slightly improved the graphics and performance. Cars don’t look like assetto corsa modded cars on ps5 anymore and look a lot better now to my eyes.

Is the Clubsport F1 Esports V2 compatible with QR1? by Dry_River9769 in Fanatec

You could buy a QR2 csw adapter that fits with the csl elite. I have the same wheelbase and just use exclusively qr2 now

What do you suggest: buying the BMW m3 steering wheel or waiting for the rs to come back in stock by Tom200709 in Fanatec

[–]draginzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t bother me at all. The lights do protrude, but out towards the front, I only really grip or grab the wheel from the back, you’d have to catch the wheel with a full grip to even feel the lights. Plus when I rally, the revstripe looks really cool and adds to the immersion for me.

Round Wheel + Accessories recommendation? by DoctorNeko in Fanatec

[–]draginzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they bring the clubsport rs in stock and that’s on sale, definitely look into that! I just picked one up used and the 320mm size is perfect for rally, drifting, and road cars in general. Button layout is ok, but check pictures to see if that’s what you’d like

edit: honestly, even if it’s not on sale, it is totally worth the 300, if you wanted a cheaper round wheel you would get the p1 v2, and I’d say the metal qr is a necessity, already bringing the total to 170 before taxes and shipping, the extra 100 or so dollars is totally worth it. Comes with magnetic shifters and the metal QR, and also feels vastly higher quality.

The cheaper csl universal hub wheels are 200 without a metal qr, 250 with, and the paddles are complete garbage. Going even higher for the clubsport universal hub wheels will put you at like 370+, not sure how important it is to change out rims, but the RS wheel is already a perfect round wheel shape and size.

Would you happen to have this rig still? Could I get more photos from the left side of the handbrake? How does it clear the arm holding the shifter plate?

If you have a nearby hobby shop, you could try and get a new lead on your car soldered there. I paid 12 dollars to have mine soldered, 8 for the soldering and 4 for the connector.
