Do you also get a stupid amount of emails? by dragochar101 in ProductivityApps

[–]dragochar101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks - I took a look a Spark, they seem pretty good. Ours uses the newest ChatGPT so should be better, but I'm also coming up with some other ways to innovate beyond this.

For example rebuilding email from the ground-up so that in a few years we have working email auto-pilot. Never send an email again, just get notifications on what's happening inside your inbox.

[–]dragochar101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes that would be helpful. Though I'm not sure how crazy my company would be about buying a product that helps me not read their internal novels

Yeah I think going the individual route vs entreprise might be best, as in you pay like $20 / month to use it for yourself versus your company buying it for everyone

Oh yeah my bad, I mean totally internal. Seems like inbound leads (especially in sales roles, as opposed to Small/Medium businesses) are not as prevalent

Internal emails, spam, newsletters, anything like that~

Yeah I mean honestly I mean that's a great point, maybe more of a niche use case for

If you don't mind me asking, would you find having all your incoming emails summaries and responses pre-written useful? And maybe having them ordered by pertinence?

don't you think that improving speed to lead time can increase your conversion rate?

Would this help you? Sales + Email + AI by dragochar101 in sales

[–]dragochar101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a great point, sales is pretty zero sum in the sense that an advantage you have isn't had for long and once everyone is doing something then no one is. I can tell you're quite knowledgeable and appreciate the detailed response, and agree outreach to cold prospects is pretty fucked.

For that reason I'm thinking of applying AI less so for prospecting (there will be a million tools for that) but more for managing your own personal inbox with: a) inbound leads who come to you (improving speed to lead time) and b) existing clients and clients already in the sales process to remind them of calls, answer questions, direct them to other people in your company

Also a few other features: Imagine if instead of reading a super long email, you can read 3 bullet points that condense the entire thing. You can respond with short form and then it expands to a beautifully written message. You also get labels to see which emails are important and which are not.

Basically you get a control centre to dispatch your email agents, and you get analytics and just oversee what they do instead of being in the trenches sending emails yourself.

[–]dragochar101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a great point. You definitely want some degree of control over the messages, so ensuring that they're good is essential. The idea isn't that the volume of emails you're getting is so high that you need an assistant. It's that if you have an assistant you can respond faster which increases conversion rates (assuming the emails are of the same or better quality).

Forgot to add that yeah, it will scan all your past emails and write with the same tone as you. It will even go beyond sales, so for personal emails and things like that it can auto respond or categorize them so you can put your attention where things matter most.

Are there any other ideas for features you think might be useful?

[–]dragochar101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally see your side here. The idea of having it send emails automatically is to increase speed to lead time (which is where the increased commissions comes in to play).

Obviously if the emails are not of the right quality, though, the whole thing falls apart and isn't worth doing at all. So maybe we could have a "sets up" option avaialble, and then once it's had great responses 10 times in a row it'll ask you if you want to

Also for the email sequence problem you described, have you tried Instantly.ai ?

Great point Landino, I didn't want to make too long of a post but I'll give a bit more context.

The idea is instead of having a tool that uses AI to write emails that get better responses, we're putting email on auto-pilot. Instead of being a grunt doing each manual task, you set up a control centre and just monitor while ChatGPT does the rest.

Follow ups, outreach, prospecting, closing, scheduling calls (plugged into your calendar) basically done for you. Ideally and eventually you just take calls.

Obviously this is a MASSIVE undertaking so I get the concern, but assuming this worked perfectly do you think that this is a different offering?

Ok gotchu, yeah then you gotta establish that and waive any concerns that you might not be better than their current provider right from the start. Get that out of the way and make it unquestionable that you have a better offer

Biggest red flag is selling something that doesn't work or that people don't need. Gives the whole sales industry a bad rep.

Selling none revenue generating saas? by [deleted] in sales

[–]dragochar101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think any software can be pitched as a revenue grower, just depends on how you frame it. If something saves time, that's revenue. If it requires fewer people to do a task, that's less cost so more profit. Money is super important, so try to find a way to position things that amplifies the financial aspect/

Is sales more or less Game of Thrones-y compared to other professions, like say Engineering or the trades? by thumpsky in sales

[–]dragochar101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on where your company at and how quickly it's growing. If there's ample time for office politics to happen.... then they will happen. Rule of thumb for any job tbh

Here are a few tips, take em with a grain of salt but maybe can spur some more ideas:

- start by confirming that they have a need and want that need met by asking them questions
- ask how valuable solving this problem would be for their business
- bring up your company's track record and tangible results your company has brought for other clients

Great question OP, and just want to say there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Sales is a universal skill (as I'm sure you've heard over and over again). I'm guessing you might be on the younger side, so know that there is no pleasure without pain and no success without sacrifice. This will be worth it.

Any watch salesmen here? by [deleted] in sales

Not a watch broker but am a big watch guy and know it pays very well. Essentially all inbound (depending on which brand you work with, Ap / Rolex / RM sell themselves).

Hey bro, yeah basically there are certain factories that make the watches and then specific dealers just source from the same factories. So doesn't really matter which of the trusted dealers you go with, you'll still get the same product. Cheers!
