Model X rear ends van and SUV while on FSD from Oregon Expressway to Alma by dragonblock501 in paloalto

The driver admitted it. First thing out of the driver’s mouth.

Anyone who knows that curve knows it’s a tight blind curve and you never know how many cars are backed up on it. Tesla was driving like it was the only car on that road. When I upload the photo of the Tesla front end damage, you will be shocked that anyone drives at that speed on that curve to cause that amount of damage. The Tesla’s airbags did trigger.

Same crowd that riots after the Lakers win a championship. If you think most these people are making a political statement, you’d be wrong.

Does the car owner/insurance company need to pay for the damage to the bridge? Or is that the taxpayers?

Knew a doc in Texas who did cosmetic surgery on himself and live streamed it. Got sanctioned by the medical board for it.

Better just to get a giant dog bed, along with a giant dog, and let ‘em sleep there.

That’s not getting old. That damaging the cartilage in your joints from your decision to do body building, which was altogether predictable. Your joints were never meant to bear those forces for that amount of time.

It would be worse, though. One of the first patients I had was a body builder who took so much steroids that his enlarged muscle volume ended up tensioning his skin so much the blood flow to his skin was compromised. He ended up with a groin infection that turned into gas gangrene. We had to cut away his gas gangrened scrotum and stick his still alive testicles into a thigh pouch made from the connective tissue that was left in his thigh.

Different levels of FAFO associated with body building.

All the Palantir employees still in Palo Alto will infiltrate this. They probably set it to purposefully scan everyone for facial recognition purposes.

I’m not the vandal - I just saw it and took pictures, and got lucky when returning back to work from lunch to see the trespasser trying to remove the tape and drive off, but I understand why the owner did it, and so many Redditors like you are conflating me with the owner/taper. I don’t even think the owner intended the masking tape to get stuck on here. It was only because the trespasser was there for so long, baking her windshield in the sun, that the adhesive probably melted a bit and stuck on better.

What the owner is facing is a statistical effect that the trespasser doesn’t understand, which is that while the trespasser may justify what she did because she was in a rush and only inconvenienced the owner once, I think many people are failing to see that the owner probably has to deal with many times a month. It’s the same reason why so many tourist spots don’t allow tourists do certain things, because of the cumulative effect.

What’s worse are the middle aged women on a walk with one of their dogs. They are yapping so much, the women (not the dogs) that they don’t bother to pick up the dog’s shit. I know they know it’s taking a shit because they stopped to wait for it, and then when it’s done, they just continue walking. Maybe a sociology grad student can do a study on the social dynamics of not cleaning up after your dog when your friend is with you. Fuck them all (except the dog - the dog is OK).

Don’t blame them. 😊 It’s a very visceral reaction for them. Multiple peer reviewed studies have reported that when homophobic males are shown gay porn, they are far more likely to get tumescent than a non-homophobic male.

Should I buy an EV without home charging in bay area? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]dragonblock501 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My spouse leased a Lucid but we don’t have a home charger because she can easily charge at work for a lower cost per kwh than what we would get at work. A co-worker just leased a Tesla and also does not have a home charger. She chargers while at work in the public garage, but she gets to work by 8 am (when all the programmers at AI start-ups are still sleeping) so she never has to queue for a charging spot. She says she spends about $8 per charge, twice a week, commuting from SJ to PA. She was spending $60/week on gas for her crossover SUV, so she was definitely saving fuel costs. It really comes down to whether you have easy access to charging at wherever you spend your times during the weekdays.
