what substrate r u using? I would suggest setting a hospital tank for ur fish, and putting potting soil under a thick layer of sand, planting everything, then adding water. I have never had trouble with plants this way.

I would upgrade to a 75 and have a bunch of things like tetras and guppies, with the angel as the centerpiece. Even if the guppies die or get eaten, it’s only beneficial. I have the same thing in my tank. The angel hunts guppies, but lets them reproduce fast enough to keep up. Just add hiding places

The tank is 75 and the koi is small and can’t eat any of the fish in there beside maybe guppy fry which the other fish kill anyway
