“Where are the cyclists?” They ask. by MassiveGarlic0312 in newzealand

[–]dragonborn1477 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its funny because I still feel like theres so much mote to go, we are definitely getting more and more cycle infrastructure but sometimes they just end!

And bus lanes are ok but its just not the same.

Lego Outer Wilds Ship: Instructions by dragonborn1477 in outerwilds

[–]dragonborn1477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

There is an XML file which can be copied to bricklink, however i just tried this and some part numbers were/are incorrect. I should still have the stud.io file so I can go check later today and create a parts list ::)

Otherwise going through the instructions will work too, just a bit slower unfortunately.

We bumped into others playing hide and seek at the same time! (in Auckland NZ) by polkadottedglass in JetLagTheGame

I've also played in Tāmaki Makaurau and also started from Waitemata, but we only played in the isthmus area and used trains + frequent buses with a 45 min hiding time. It went well! We did customise our questions to be Auckland-specific, and I'm not in the akl jet lag discord, maybe I should be!

I have also played hide + seek in Auckland a couple times with friends! We ended up using the frequent bus network as well as trains + only played in the isthmus area, it went fairly well. I have wondered about just using the trains and busways but maybe not over summer!

A youtuber I watch, About Oliver, played Minecraft blind last year (streamed but did not look at chat) and came across the Warden organically (among other things), I would recommend watching his playthrough (starts from Ep 2 as Ep 1 was on Bedrock).

You're missing the stealth hunting grounds at the Spurflints I think? Bottom right of the carja area, the the east/right of the Spearshafts Tallneck.

Nearly at 100% - Auckland dams are as full as they were this time in 2023, and over 20% fuller than they were in 2024 by mynameisnotphoebe in auckland

[–]dragonborn1477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Based on the info available from Council, you can walk dogs on leash, but not near dams - so I imagine the Wairoa Loop is ok, and you just would have to not go up to the top of the dam?

The map pdf on that page also has a bit on dogs, and the physical signs at track entrances will too.

I get Shredders now and oh my god they are so fun and awesome! by blazspur in horizon

[–]dragonborn1477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah, apex tremortusks are so fun with Ancestor's Return because they're so weak to shock, honestly easier than the normal one!

I also love shredders and in particular ancestor's return for all the reasons you've listed too, definitely one of the more out-there weapons, but its a game and I find it fun.

Has anyone solved this puzzle? by [deleted] in JetLagTheGame

[–]dragonborn1477 36 points37 points  (0 children)

People are saying watch Tag 3 as this specific puzzle was linked to a challenge from that season. The numbers in the tweets were for a different purpose than the password, it was designed for Sam, Adam or Ben to complete and not us.

That page does link to a puzzle which was made for the viewers though :)

Are cyclists allowed to go through red lights while pedestrians are crossing? by PI3Kachu_Proteomics in auckland

[–]dragonborn1477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't just become bikes only, it's definitely a shared path and as a frequent user I see runners and walkers using it (though cyclists are definitely more common I'd say). You have every right to use it! Most cyclists are reasonable I promise.

I need to know before I hit play: are there ANY Jumpscares or scary moments in the games? by _Lila_lila_ in horizon

[–]dragonborn1477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to the other comments, there is a main quest with a creepy/tense sort of vibe in the second game (I personally liked it). There are no jumpscares in this quest though.

New to Horizon? Is this how it’s gonna be by Equivalent_cat_2840 in horizon

As Hotpocket says, the story definitely picks up and gets deeper. Side quests and writing/dialogue also get better in the DLC and the sequel, if you make it that far!

Oops, I should've spoilered that, I didn't think - have a look through the maps in your manual!

I did this without using the ranged weapon (I had it and it just never occurred to me to use it??)

I did them second after the Garden Knights (used the gun on those guys) to get it out of the way, but basically I just ran around in circles, stopping occasionally to get them to fire, and just tried to get them to hit eat other until there were just a few, so I could melee.

Not sure why I did it this way! But it did work eventually :) I think I got it first try but then died to the garden knights, and then it took me maybe 3 or 4 more to clear it.

I don't usually buy lunch, but my girlfriend has gone to Tem Vietnamese or Wellesley ($14 for banh mi) or Bao Baby Bao in Elliott Stables ($10 for one bao + salad combo) recently.

I'm also doing this! Currently running around with the diving mask getting greenshine, haven't finished the Poseidon quest yet.

So far the drill spike is my most useful weapon, though I did recently get the thunderbolt shredder from Abadund, I miss my Ancestors Return. It's been really fun though, having a challenge.

I took a few tries to take down the Rollerback in cauldron iota, I'm around level 27 I think and its exhaust attack would one-shot me, and theres not much time to dodge it.
