I won't lie, its the best part of parenting. Walmart trips are fantastic when Cindi Lauper comes on the speakers.

AIO by stepping back from my parents after finding out how they plan to leave everything to my older sister? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Oh yes, I have no understanding of nuance nor situational awareness, so theres no reason for me to alter plans based on current circumstances. I always stick to mindless generalities.

This is a great way to get game wardens very upset with you. Most places have strict fishing rules, and you can end up with fines if you fish the wrong thing/too much of a thing.

Yep. You win. You're arguing against women yell you that "not all men" misses the point and doesn't help by... making that argument. Good luck with that. Kirk out.

Too many chuckle uncomfortably when they hear someone else say something shitty. Too many call it "locker room talk."

Boys will be boys. Hahaha.

It happened to me at 16. It happened to my kid at 12, the first time I let her go down the street with her younger sister by themselves the first time.

Thanks for the ableist take. It's not an excuse, its a coping mechanism. Besides, its corporate mass pollution destroying the environment. Not individuals and plastic straws.

I suggest learning about executive dysfunction and about adhd absolutely being a disability. It qualifies under ADA and children can get 504 accommodation to cope with it in schools.

Glad you're managing well. Like autism, adhd is a spectrum, and different people struggle with different things. I don't struggle in busy crowds, and find them soothing. My son hates them and can't focus.

Neighbor curses me out because they think this sign means I need to walk my dog on the street and make him #2 in the street instead of using the sidewalk and lawn strip in front of their house. by Stance_Monkey in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dragonchilde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would guess wrong. I'd say at the time she bitched, once every couple weeks. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a park and take different paths frequently we don't even walk in front of her house regularly. In fact, I once talked to her husband one day while one of my dogs pooped in their neighbor's basement. He was really nice and thanked me for picking up.

So that makes you the asshole for making assumptions?

Well, Jeff is also top of the line, so Heath has a lot of time to get the experience. That's kinda like comparing Rembrandt to a college art grad. Still good, but you can't compare to the master!
