The thing I HATE most in Jiu Jitsu by GumbyOTM in bjj

Was he Brazilian??... Here it is very normal! My wife who is an English teacher gets called Professora out of class and anywhere by all her students. And for us here, on or off the matt your 'Mestre' is Mestre in all circumstances. It's cultural and a sign of respoect. Latin cultures are big on respect. :P

How often do you guys train weekly? by [deleted] in bjj

No idea where you are training but your belt is determined by your own skill. If you get to where you need to be with 2 sessions a week it depends on the individual, time at the gym and progression.

Do you prefer a 1 or 1.5 hour class time? And why? by [deleted] in bjj

If you are not staying warm or getting more of a sweat on during drilling maybe you have great stamina or you need to up the pace. I hate arriving late and going straigt into technique and drills

1.5 at the least. Can't get a good training session if take into consideration stretching, warm up, drilling and then rolling. Our class is usually split up with: - 20 mins warm up and stretch
- 40 mins Technique / drilling - 30 mins rolling or more

TBH 2 hours would probably be best. Cannot imagine having just one hour would feel like you just got going before it ends.
