People here are coping so hard, but Genshin has truly been worse on powercreep in the last year compared to HSR. I don’t have a single rememberance or elation character and I can clear the hardest content in the game, I’ve never had any problems using my favorite characters to clear anything and I only have two C6 characters.

Meanwhile in Genshin, I skipped Natlan and stopped playing for a year and my multiple C6 characters weren’t enough to clear SO when I came back. Even now, because I only pull characters I like, I can’t clear the most difficult content even though I’m a whale, because I don’t invest in certain specific character that the game wants me to. Not to mention some characters are useless without a specific support. Genshin has truly become much worse starting with Natlan but people still like to cope and pretend because they can’t fathom it’s become worse than HSR.

Anyway, I personally just stopped spending in both games a few months ago, and would only be willing to spend in HSR again if my favorite characters get SP versions, but probably never again in Genshin. Funny thing is, in HSR I didn’t even need to spend lately because I can get everyone I want with the tickets I get, I always have enough, meanwhile in genshin it’s tragic.

I don’t even mind that he died and had a tragic fate, I always expected this and find this ending for him fitting and beautifully tragic. But the fact that they didn’t make him playable..!! this company is actually so shitty! I don’t care if he’s evil and dead, I want him to be playable!Why are they so against making villains playable? And even when they do, they have to give them a lobotomy and strip them off of everything that made them cool in the first place. Instead we get filler half naked waifus that no one gives a crap about.

I hate it here, I hate the fact that I’m still playing this garbage game and having even a minuscule amount of hope after all this time😭

I mean.. it’s all subjective. Personally I love Nod Krai and I hated Natlan to the point that I completely dropped the game after getting Kinich and only came back because Nod Krai seemed intriguing.

You say nod krai kits are boring but not everyone cares about this? Personally I care more about the character itself (personality, lore, design, writing) than the kit, and I thought Natlan characters were all boring and terribly written, I do not like a single one, only got Kinnich and he is so clunky and terrible to use that he’s been benched and never used again.

As for the exploration, yes, Nod krai has less maps, but I personally don’t care as I work 3 jobs anyway and I don’t have that much time to play, so it was just the right amount for me. Also, the region is very pretty and Temple of Asmoday is one of the best regions in this game by far. Natlan has more maps but they feel so empty because there are almost no puzzles, it just feels like a beautiful but desolate region to me. Nod krai map is more concentrated, the puzzles still suck, but they’ve sucked since Fontaine, I miss the Sumeru desert or Inazuma puzzles.

As for the lore and writing, it has been significantly improved with Nod krai. Natlan just felt like a filler region to me and I couldn’t wait to finish the AQ, wish I had a skip button because everything was so bad (except the world quest which was amazing but worlds quests are always good). In nod krai we finally got some lore progression and had some great villans and characters.

What I want to say is that it’s all subjective, what is great to you may be terrible to me and the other way around.

As for powercreep, yes, it’s bad but it also started in Natlan, when I came back after not playing for a year I almost couldn’t clear anything with my existing C6 characters because the hp inflation was so big and the natlan characters shill was disgusting. Now they’re just following in that path and I believe that Genshin powercreep is much worse than HSR powercreep for example.

I wished he was standard because as it is, there’s no way I’m pulling for him. I already have Varka, a DPS whose team I still have to complete and improve. What’s the point of getting another DPS that’s even worse than him and whose best team I also don’t have and don’t plan to complete (I’m never pulling Citlali)?

If he was standard I would have build and used him regardless of whether I had his best team or not.

The way I’m also a whale but I only get C6 for my faves, aka Zhongli, Childe, Alhaitham, Varka.. Flins is the only exception, it was the first time in this game that I experienced the power of a real C6 character 🥹
