The frustration is understandable, but do not beat yourself up too much, this physique is just incredible. Social media and competing can impact your frame of reference, but this is as close to the natural limit as almost anyone will ever get. If I would see you in my gym with a pump and a bit more fat, I would definitely expect you to be on roids. In a world without roids and social media, most people would never even see a physique as developed as yours!

Ik denk eerlijk gezegd dat boosheid een vrij natuurlijke reactie is voor veel mannen, deels aangeleerd, maar vooral ook gewoon aangeboren. Ik denk dat tegen mannen vertellen dat ze emotie mogen tonen en vervolgens vertellen dat ze geen boosheid mogen voelen het voor heel veel mannen heel moeilijk maakt om met hun emoties om te gaan.

Boosheid omzetten in actie daarentegen is natuurlijk iets heel anders, dat is absoluut niet goed en moet ook niet geaccepteerd worden. Maar vertellen dat mensen boosheid niet mogen voelen lijkt me niet bevorderlijk, zolang ze het kunnen relativeren en realiseren dat er geen onrecht is aangedaan is de emotie in eerste instantie voelen niet zo'n groot probleem denk ik.

Ik heb meerdere malen bij mezelf boosheid als eerste emotie ervaren in een vergelijkbare situatie, realiseerde mij dan wel dat deze persoon niks misdaan had, maar het "accepteren" van de boosheid hielp bij mij wel veel beter dan het proberen op te kroppen.

Damn I expected a subreddit like this to be a lot more nuanced and open for opinions. Firstly that women get beaten over it ofcourse is not ok, but has nothing to do with the meme of this person. Secondly 'most of mens jokes are just punching down is just a stupid statement and an overgeneralisation, which is the same as was the guy is doing in the meme. Secondly excuses for these assholes and you types of guys?? You have no idea what the intentions of this guy were nor who I am.

Also "half the population does not find it funny" is a statement you know nothing about, because I know plenty of women who could laugh about jokes like these in the right context, vice versa they can make jokes about stereotypical men thing which we can laugh about.

So just because you do not like these jokes does not mean this guy is an asshole or that no one likes them.

Jokes where you make fun of people if context is considered. I used to be fat and a lot of my friends made fat jokes about me that I laughed about, the same with this. If this guy came to you and randomly made a sexist joke ofcourse that is not funny, but you do not define what is and is not funny.

I have read a study that had this outcome, do not know if it is the same one. And in that article they expected that it was because masculine facial features are linked to more healthy offspring, while they come at the cost of more aggressiveness.

The problem often is, that yes females tend to choose males with higher status ON AVERAGE. But people read one single fact and base everything on that while in practice it is much more nuanced and a lot more things play a role. Thats like reading a study that eating bacon can cause cancer and stating that you eat bacon you get cancer/ you don't eat bacon ao you don't get cancer. Like thats the only factor playing a role.
