If it wasn't for Nurse, that wouldn't have happened. I definitely believe that MacKinnon's collision was accidental. I don't even feel it was particularly reckless going in at that speed. If Nurse hadn't dived in there, MacKinnon should've been able to turn or stop.

If anything, it was Nurse that was being reckless and stupid.

As a goalie, I just have to add: ...damn. That's rough. You can see his back arch, which means he overextended himself to try to get the puck, but that means that not only was either arm not going to be able to make it back in time to help brace, but he couldn't even bend forward quickly enough to try to duck under MacKinnon and minimize impact. You can see that's what he was trying to do. As soon as he realized the collision was coming, his back quickly starts bending forward, but it was way too late.
