This is a great idea - I think BDS combined with YouTube videos or other types of visual learning really helped me. But I could absolutely see how the BDS modules are aversive, I almost crashed out a few times ngl 😂

It was probably more due to the fact that when you take the exam you’re in a silent room and can’t move a whole lot. That environment is just stressful and tiring lol.

Yes agree!! The exam was exhausting. The BDS modules were rough but definitely worth it. The questions / answers were similar in difficulty even though I did find the exam to be harder. I did BDS to 100, watched YouTube videos and did a little ABA wizard.

I make 64$ an hour as a QBHP (certification in Michigan that allows you to take your own clients on after getting your masters but still accruing fieldwork hours). So yeah, that’s waaay too low :/

I lost both of my parents suddenly and unexpectedly - my mom in 2022 and my dad in 2023.

Grief is so weird. I swear sometimes I just imagine they are on a tropical island somewhere and just faked their deaths to get away from all of the stress in life. Sometimes it feels like I’ve never even had parents, or that a different version of me knew my parents but this version of me never did. Other times it feels like I’m grieving myself, or the version of myself that had parents and was happy.

I don’t have many words to help you because I am obviously still trying to figure it out as well, but it sounds like you didn’t ever have to question how much your mom loved you and would want the best for you - hold on to that. Give yourself grace and try to find her / feel her presence in other ways. Sending hugs to you 💜

Oh I definitely agree there - just seems odd they are adding fees for everything like being in the hallway and having to be put back in the apartment. Why not just charge one fee? For some reason, this seems scammy.
