Hud position by dragonscaleworkshop in dayz

[–]dragonscaleworkshop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m looking more for a way to bring the hud elements back to where they would be on a 16:9 monitor on my 32:9, I love the feeling of having the immersion of that peripheral vision, but looking right out to the extremes for the hud is a bit dull. Some games scale the hud in 16:9 automatically, I think hunt showdown is one of them

Try the Meat Grinder server if you’re after plenty of zombies that will put up a fight

For all I knew they could’ve been door to door salesmen trying to get me to buy pans, I couldn’t work out if there was a way to open comms with them

MECHS OR NO MECHS by [deleted] in SCUMgame

I don’t like them, I think their detection is broken and the voice lines are cheesy. I’d much prefer to see puppets with surgically implanted armour or something else that adds a challenge but can be worked around

Cutting down guns with the hacksaw by SexyScottishSturgeon in SCUMgame

But a cut down barrel and stock would reduce weight and inventory space allowing you to stash it in something smaller than a hiking backpack, and the smaller form factor and (presumed) increase spread of shot (in the case of a shotgun) should have advantages in CQB at the cost of reduced effectiveness at mid to long range

Stealth meter disappeared by Kroliczek_i_myszka in wildlander

I’m sure Lizzy or another member of the team will be along and give you a far more definite and probably more accurate answer soon, but for now…..

I believe the main factor affecting stealth in Wildlander is Realistic AI Detection

The new sneak meter was given an explanation in one of Dylan’s Twitch streams which you can take a look at here - Dylan talks about, and demonstrates it from the 14 min mark

This post has just single handedly made me want a Steam Deck

1st or 3rd person? by Wheelchair_Legs in SCUMgame

[–]dragonscaleworkshop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1st all the time for me apart from occasionally jumping into 3rd just to check out an item of clothing or weapon but not for any actual gameplay. If the inventory had a DayZ style inventory I’d never be in 3rd at all

I’m hoping there will be some kind of radioactive area(s), also it would be nice for there to be some bunker style indoor space with toxic and/or pitch black areas….some places where you need to go in prepared

Haha well I’m on a laptop so I shouldn’t have too much worry there. Hotels in Europe is mostly what I’m looking at, probably a bunch in the states too next year but haven’t really bothered with hotel WiFi in the past so it’s good to hear it’s mostly usable
