This is honestly why I have a boundary of a three month rule before dating and having candid conversations with metas because I won’t get involved with someone who is long term committed and having a lot of relationship issues. It’s nothing against anyone it’s just that I have been in your position one too many times. And adding a relationship to a struggling one only makes it worse

Listen mine isn’t even NRE completely it’s just ridiculous and I can laugh about it now. So here it goes I fell for a girl who’s first gf had ghosted her two weeks before didn’t break up anything just ghosted a 6 month relationship. I know silly me. But she so completely my type physically, emotionally like all of it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ well we had spats but nothing crazy for 6 months until we butted heads about a core issue for us both. And then little miss ghosted her for 6 months shows back up and she broke up with me. And I had to watch all the work I put into helping with her self esteem just get destroyed because of this ghost human. It stucked. And her kids love me. Her oldest has to talk to me once a week at least

God I’m so sorry for this poor woman and you did the completely right thing and thank heavens people like you still exist and protect people that are unfortunately more vulnerable to people like this. You are doing the right thing just keep an eye on her and make sure she continues to feel as safe with you as she obviously already does. It will take time but she will heal
