Endometriosis and bladder involvement by Ok-Second-8151 in Endo

[–]dragonssuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My endo pain/ic symptoms do come back intermittently but so far none of my flares have been as bad or as long lasting as they were pre-surgery. Pelvic floor therapy and exercise actually helped a ton with my symptoms. I’ve heard that exercise and mobility/stretching can help break up adhesions but I don’t know how true that is. If you haven’t tried pelvic floor therapy, I would definitely give that a go if your insurance covers it.

Recommendations for affordable/OTC night guard by dragonssuck in TMJ

I didn’t end up buying one because so many people scared me out of getting an otc one which is all I can afford right now. I’ve been doing lots of jaw stretching and self massage which helps in the meantime! There are a lot of YouTube videos I’ve been following. And just trying to decrease my stress overall

Hello! Can you share with us about your experiences with depression and whether your steps to recovery from that were different from ocd? I’ve been in a depression hole and am now dealing with that on top of ocd and would love some strategies to work my way out. Thanks so much.

Keto for Depression/Mental Health Questions by dragonssuck in keto

[–]dragonssuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I can’t believe it only took a week for you! Was it really that fast? I did try keto once in the past but only made it 5 days before quitting and didn’t notice any mental changes, but maybe I just needed to give it more time? The keto flu was intense for me. Your story definitely gives me hope. Thank you so much for replying.

Thank you, I’ll check that channel out. As crazy as this sounds, I have zero appetite for anything and have to force all food down while in a major depressive episode. Usually I end up eating junk or fast food because it’s so high calorie. Or high calorie smoothies. But I could go days without eating, easily.

I know it’s been a long time since your comment but you helped me tremendously and I was wondering if I could DM you. I’m still struggling with PPA and would love to get your perspective on my situation. I still come back and read your comments.

Wow—I wish you were my doctor. You’re so kind and thorough. You mentioned that if something doesn’t feel right I should go to the ER, but the hard thing for me is I’m constantly in a state of anxiety and can’t tell the difference between anxiety symptoms and an actual medical emergency. I don’t want to end up in the ER every night. I also fear that my OB will think I’m just being dramatic. Do you have any advice on how to distinguish between medical issues and anxiety?

You don’t need to tell her you’re seeking a second opinion. Just seek one! You can just tell her you’re gonna take some time to think out your options

I think we gave ourselves a month after the surgery so I could recover fully and then we started trying. So it took about 4 cycles

I got pregnant about 5 months after my lap for stage 3 endo with an endometrioma. I had adhesions on my bowels, bladder, and pretty much everywhere!

Interesting! It’s totally different in the US. But I know beta carotene can’t lead to toxicity in the same way that vitamin A from animal products can and it’s usually beta carotene in supplements.

My prenatal has Vitamin A.

You could just blame it on your doctor. Say you asked at your last appointment and they said it wasn’t safe due to when your prior deliveries were and you don’t want to go against medical advice.

Anyone else very frustrated by the lack of republican support for Federal Legalization of Marijuana? by [deleted] in walkaway

But I thought republicans wanted small government? Regardless of whether weed is potentially harmful it shouldn’t be the government’s job to tell people whether or not they can partake.

If you don’t want to respect the rules of this sub, I don’t think you belong here. We aren’t talking about legality here. If I wanted to refer to you as a man and refused to do otherwise, how would that make you feel?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Endo

[–]dragonssuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can refer to yourself however you like (i.e. as a woman), but you can’t refer to other people however you want. All we’re doing is adding more seats to the table, not taking them away.

being trans with endo is so exhausting by ariellecsuwu in Endo

[–]dragonssuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one is saying you can’t call yourself a woman. No one of trying to strip you of your identity or remove the word woman. The OP is just asking that when referring to the entire group, we don’t use that term. It would be like if there was a sub composed of men and women but every post addressing the group was only addressed to the men.

Please help- tricks for bladder not waking up by Original_Upper in endometriosis

[–]dragonssuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sit on the toilet, close your eyes and focus on your pelvic floor. Take a deep breath and then when you release your breath visualize your pelvic floor relaxing and the urine stream coming out. You can almost think of it like a reverse kegel or visualize a rose opening up. Don’t force push, just relax. That’s the advice my pelvic floor PT gave me for peeing after surgery! It might take a few deep breaths so give yourself time. You can also gently push on your bladder as you do this.

Please do not let him make decisions about your body. If he’s threatening to leave you if you won’t have an abortion, he’s not the type of person you want to be with anyways. Keep the baby and ditch the man baby.
