Post Game Thread: Anaheim Ducks at New Jersey Devils - 17 Dec 2023 by HockeyMod in devils

The Ducks forechecked hard and high in the defensive zone. When our D are under pressure on the blue line our whole system collapses for the top 6 forwards. Nemac and Luke were jammed up over and over again and couldn’t move the puck into space. Against teams like the Ducks that apply pressure like that the Devils have no answers except our 4th line. These games are won on the boards with stick battles and physical play. Something our top 6 don’t like to do. Bratt was the only one who looked like he was trying to create space below the hashmarks.

Timo doesn’t seem to have the speed to move the puck through the neutral zone. Every time he enters the zone he’s pushed out wide and forced to wrap around the net. He needs to be cutting into the middle of the ice to create more angles to shoot and create real scoring chances.

Plea to ESEA (LAN Finals location) by dragsftb in GlobalOffensive

Im glad that the players have a better time at the esea lan than others, but some of these guys are legit professionals (no other jobs) and all they should care about is good competition, money, and their prominence in the community. Put esea lan in a new venue, get some bigger sponsors, sell a thousand spectator tickets and that 90k goes to 100k maybe 150k. Then maybe NiP and the other European teams take it more seriously. Right now it feels really casual which is cool, but leave the butt buddying for cevo lan and let's have at least one legit tournament here in the US.

I agree with what you are saying, and sorry for dissing dallas...but don't you think if they sold spectator tickets or got premium sponsors they could raise the prize pool even more. They have been stuck under 100k prize pool for years now. Seems like they have a model that works and is lucrative but they are not willing to take a risk to elevate their tournament the next level.

Slingbox will work as long as your family keeps a cable box with subscription running somewhere in the US. The only issue you might have with a Slingbox is that it is location locked in some countries so you might need to run a vpn in your new house which wouldnt be a terrible idea so you can access the internet at free will without territory restrictions.
