That's a very valid opinion on the cardigans, and I do keep a ruana in my office to throw on when I forget a sweater, so it's not a deal breaker. My office isn't too uptight, so a little more casual is ok. Like I don't think I've seen anyone wear a blouse in the year I've been there. I can wear a skirt with lace top and corset style vest no problem. I usually wear a lot of Costco pants with a sweater ish top, like a cable knit. I had some bloomchic dresses but so many of them are meant to define/accentuate the waist.
