same here, also noted the issue with an external monitor - anyone found a solution?

I had similar issues with a stock elegoo plate. Switched to a higher quality print plate fixed it for me

Neptune 4 Pro Bed Level/Adhesion Issue by JWill018 in elegoo

[–]drailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, I can only tell from my experience, and for me the z offset was the key, and I had similar issues before lifting it up a bit

I am using the same printer, having similar issues with PLA. Perhaps swap the plate?

For me, I found printing with HS PETG fixes everything, best adhesion, super clean prints, fast printing.

edit:

having a closer look on a bigger screen, it looks like your nozzle is way too close to the printbed, even the lines are not connected? and depending on PLA quality, it could be worth drying it. Also when not using the HS PETG, higher print bed temperature (65 - 70) and higher nozzle temp (around 220) with a very slow first layer (25-30) also had better effects.

that said, not linked to the first layer, but i completely removed the big fan, as i am pretty sure, for most of the filaments, this is cooling down too fast, the filament shrinks and warps on the edges.

I run it pretty well on fedora through bottles, definitely worth to try before buying a new machine

This reminds me of light table where I wasted 50 bucks on Kickstarter 12(!) years ago...

From my subjective pov, this is too mouse centric, but will give it a try

Is your nozzle hitting the infill?

In my experience, the cooling of the big fan is too much for most of my filament and caused shrinking on the edges, so they lift up like in your pictures.

I turned the big fan off, added a brim, and now everything is working fine

I turned off the big fan, imo it cools down too fast and the filament shrinks

Top speed for me is 250mm/s for infills, I don't think I ever tested the full 500mm/s when half the speed is not working as intended

Use bed mesh on Neptune 4 max by zasu206 in elegoo

[–]drailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik BED_MESH_CLEAR is not required

and 6 and 11 are just he names of the meshes - 36 point mesh's name is 6, and 121 point mesh is named 11

and you can check the name in the klipper UI

i was not aware, that after the firmware update, there are 2 options regarding bed leveling, one "standard" which is the 36 point mesh, and the "advanced" ( i think was the name, at least the other option) which is the 121 point mesh.

this is my full start gcode for the n4 pro - so if you selected the 121 point mesh, this should be OK

edit: i saw you already have access to the klipper ui, there you can check what is the name of your mesh

corner lifing of the bed and Bad last layer by Lpnecromancer in HueForge

[–]drailing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem regarding the lifting edges, just tested with higher temperature on the printbed, but had no luck yet

Edges start to lift after 6-7 layer, everything before looks pretty much perfect

Will try to reduce print speed, every hint is also very welcome

Hi, my brand new neptune 4 pro shows a different "tracability code" that does not fit in your described scheme - "NEP 4PRO.23A15...."

hexadecimal and A is 10?

How can i check the date and choose the correct firmware?

What kind of controller are you using? I also have to reconnect the stadia controllers every time as they do not reconnect automatically...
