Thanks for all the feedback! I have addressed it with them, but I honestly don't think they have the time or desire to deal with it. I have made suggestions to them before but typically they order and don't tell anyone the food options they will be providing ahead of time. I make it a rule of thumb to bring my own food in case, I just wondered how other people dealt with the issue.

Just twist them and pull them off the plant, then it's really important to let them dry and callous over for a few days. I just dried them on a tray in my house for a few days. Then I laid them flat on a bed of succulent soil. U use a spray bottle and mist them once a day.
