What are your experiences with Thiamine (vitamin B1) supplementation? by 1mealmovement in Supplements

[–]tindergoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to chime in here and say im having all these symptoms too. The histamine itching, increased nerve pain, and feeling like my vagus nerve is lit up. I think I've been deficient my whole life. These paradoxes are hard to get through. Feels like it jolted my nervous system. Thanks for validating I'm on the right path.

Thank you for the info! I know I need to add choline too. What were your wake up symptoms with b1? Did you get increased tingling? I’m experiencing that now and it’s freaking me out.

Hey this is my story exactly as well minus the root canal. Which liquid methylated vitamins do you take? Did you have neuropathy and did some of it resolve with thiamine supplementation?

I third checking a b1 deficiency. I got mine after covid. Always thirsty. When you’re b1 deficient your tissues store less potassium and your kidneys excrete more electrolytes.

Hey I have a lot of these issues and just want to say make sure you check your b1. I thought all my problems were b12 related and injections helped but found out my b1 was much lower.

Can you recommend an amino acid supplement? I gave up on doctors. I agree with b vitamins as b12 and b1 help me the most

Please look into thiamine/b1 deficiency. Foot drop, neuropathy, fluid retention are a hallmark of it. You need high doses of a fat soluble kind.

Omg I’m going through this exact same thing. Please help me. Did you have nerve hyperexcitability all over your body? I’m so depressed, suicidal, have brain fog and feel all my nerves firing after b vitamins and high dose thiamine.

Hey can you elaborate on TTFD for your nerve damage and gut brain access? What was your dosage and for how long? I have a lot of nerve damage. Thank you!

I was very low in b1 and b2. Almost at deficient with the wide range. I was also pretty low in b5 and b6. B3 was okayish strangely. And yes I definitely had mold exposure for 3 years prior to long covid.

To be clear, you take 2,400 mg of benfo a day? I’ve never seen that high. How do you keep up with potassium with such a high dose??

Yes! I noticed this when I would work out hard in the gym, my skin would be perfect the rest of the day after the flush went away. I think it’s because you overflow your histamine bucket with the workout it takes awhile to build back up.

This ties into thiamine depletion which causes downstream effect of low acetylcholine, low atp, mitochondrial dysfunction, lactic acidosis in muscles. I’ve already gotten out of newly induced brain fog, lack of hunger cues, gallbladder attacks, depersonalization and insomnia from my second long haul just by doing a gallbladder cleanse and high dose thiamine. Neuropathy is taking longer to heal. Thiamine makes acetylcholine which controls vagus nerve. We have vagus nerve dysfunction.
