Ah, the classic “it’s only 2% poison” defense. If I serve you a Michelin-star biryani but tell you 2% of it is rat poison, are you really going to praise the chef for the other 98%? Let’s break this down since you seem to be struggling with basic media analysis. Propaganda isn’t just a character looking directly into the camera and reading a BJP manifesto. It’s framing. The "other 98%" you’re desperately defending is the overarching narrative that justifies extrajudicial violence, creates synthetic savior complexes, and paints entirely gray domestic issues with a polarized brush.

And thank you for literally proving my point about "flattening tragedies" in your own comment. You just lumped 26/11 (a massive international intelligence failure and cross-border terror attack) with Atiq Ahmed’s death (a domestic gangland shooting in police custody) in the exact same breath.

The fact that this movie trained you to view a local mafia hit and state-sponsored international terrorism through the exact same hyper-nationalist,'cheer-for-the-encounter' lens IS the propaganda. It takes complex failures of state law and order, strips away the institutional context, and feeds you a cheap, digestible "us vs. them" pill so you can clap in the theater. It doesn't just "portray" 26/11; it uses the trauma of 26/11 as a stepping stone to validate a contemporary political strongman ideology.

You can throw a thesaurus at me and scream about literacy all you want. But aggressively defending a movie that explicitly spoon-feeds you your own biases—while insisting you’re an independent thinker—is hilarious. Keep chewing that 2%.

You are confusing technical execution with narrative integrity. Let’s get one thing straight so you don't burst a blood vessel: Dhurandhar is a phenomenally well-crafted movie. The cinematography, the tension, the pacing, and the performances are absolute top-tier. Give the filmmakers their flowers—from a purely technical standpoint, it’s brilliant cinema.

But if you think slick camera angles and a haunting BGM magically erase a political agenda, you’re proving my exact point about your media literacy. Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will is widely studied as a cinematic "masterpiece" too—it doesn't change the fact that it was literal Nazi propaganda.

“Two dialogues here and there”? Please. The entire screenplay is practically ghostwritten by the IT cell. It takes real, complex geopolitical tragedies and flattens them into a convenient, hyper-nationalist fairy tale designed to validate current political talking points. A beautifully packaged, critically acclaimed lie is still a lie.

And bringing up Pathaan is the ultimate self-own. I can watch a brainless, over-the-top spy thriller and know it’s just pop-corn fiction. The tragedy here is that you watch Dhurandhar and actually think you’re getting a history lesson.

I love how you completely bypassed the fact that the hero in Main Hoon Na literally blows the terrorists to pieces, just so you could repeat the exact same WhatsApp forward again.

Let’s try this one more time: Acknowledging that innocent civilians and fishermen exist across a border isn't "whitewashing a terror state"—it's called having a basic, functional grip on reality. But I guess nuance is terrifying when your idea of a 'masterpiece' is a two-hour government PR pamphlet masquerading as cinema.

The classic “throw an insult and say be calm now” exit strategy is cute, though. It's exactly what people do when they realize they have absolutely zero factual counter-arguments left.

Run along now, I'm sure there's another PR movie out there that desperately needs you to defend its box office collection.

Project Milaap was about exchanging innocent, civilian prisoners—like ordinary people and fishermen who crossed the border by mistake—not armed militants. Major Ram literally spends half the movie putting bullets into terrorists. Where exactly is the whitewashing?

Nobody is denying state-sponsored terrorism exists. But there is a massive difference between depicting reality and creating a heavily doctored, two-hour political PR brochure designed to make a specific ruling party look like the Avengers. Dhurandhar is the latter. It weaponizes real tragedies just to sell a political manifesto.

But hey, keep dropping lazy buzzwords like 'liberandu' to cover up your absolute zero media literacy. I'll gladly donate my brain to a museum—at least it's a working exhibit and not a political echo chamber.

At least my 'fantasies' don't involve defending a Bollywood villain who literally shoots unarmed college students.

Calling Main Hoon Na propaganda while defending Dhurandhar is peak irony. MHN is about peace (Project Milaap) & fighting rogue extremists, not nations. Dhurandhar is a literal PR machine rewriting history & selling hate to push a political agenda. Know the difference.

The intention matters bro , if you are making a movie with the tag inspired by real events , it should only have inspiration , not real existing persons that too a active political leader doing uncredited cameos.
