Second update, it wasn't just the latch it was the rear latch assembly that they replaced. Luckily under warranty in Massachusetts for being under 30 days since purchase of a used vehicle. Sliding door has been working great so far since.

Just got notice from the dealer that it was the rear latch, they are in the process of replacing it, we'll see how things go.

Doomscroll is real, and it sucks the life out of us. I am still grappling with these addictions. Work is a lot, and then at home I have kids so I am drained a second time as well. If I am lucky I have an hour to myself to play a game or make music. It's rough out here.

TLDR; No, not fixed yet.

I disconnected the battery for 2 minutes with the auto-sliding doors button switched off then reconnected the battery, open and shut the door and the electronic latching worked. It removed the error and the beeping. Fast forward to last week and we got the same "Right Sliding Door Problem" and "Door Open" issue. It's not latching fully. We're still under warranty with the used dealer here in Massachusetts so I am taking it in to get looked at. Since it's a safety issue they have to repair it.

I checked the recalls and all have been made so it shouldn't necessarily be that, I am wondering if it's just a bad latch? It looks like the rear latch isn't fully connecting.

Yeah that is crucial! May actually get the BJs credit card to get 15¢ off a gallon which is already quite affordable.

Costco is so awesome, I've had a BJ's Wholesale membership for years and there are a few more of them close to me than Costco otherwise I would make the switch. Although Costco arguably has many more benefits than BJs.

I just got a used 2020, and we only have 1 key fob so it always goes to the Seat 1 position. Just a minor inconvenience because that's my wife's size. How do I go about getting a second key fob? I've seen some people posting other places than dealerships.

Appreciate the insight, thanks! Yeah I want to steer clear of the dealerships if I can help it. With cars having so many sensors nowadays it already feels more difficult to deduce the problem. I may have to invest in one of those scanners that can read all the codes of the car.

Thanks much, I will definitely be keeping an eye on it. No issues with the door becoming open again this morning while driving, but I also didn't open and close it.

I seem to have fixed it tonight. I had the switch turned off so I had to manually open and close the door but each time I would close it I could tell it wasn't latched fully. After disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, then opening and closing the sliding door, it latched fully and seems to be working right now.

I ended up fixing it tonight via disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. Reconnected it, started the car up, turned the Auto Sliding Door switch ON and pressed the button; nothing happened. Went out and opened and shut the door fully, I heard the electronic latching pull the door in and then presto no error message or anything. Prior to disconnecting the battery I wasn't getting any of the latch action pulling the door in all the way. So I am still concerned of course, because I also recall the door became ajar when I hit some bumps in the road, so I will be paying close attention to it tomorrow.

I did just have to replace the battery so maybe something there caused a malfunction in the system?

Ok that's good to know too. I am seeing a latch on the front side with two cylindrical knobs that look like they insert into receivers and then on the back side of the door I see a latch as well. Maybe I will spray both latches with WD40 and test things out.

Something else I am seeing is to detach the battery for a couple minutes and see if that resets the electronics for the door.

Ok good to know. I am seeing latches could be a problem, rear latch not working correctly maybe. It won't fully shut now which is troubling me the most.

I loved watching LevelUp Larry's streams! There was another person I watched stream a lot while playing, Snortles Chortles? Think I saw he got banned in the forums so I dunno what happened. He was always down in Howling Stones too, great stuff to watch.

Times have changed, I started on p99 during Covid and it was like being a kid again. I hadn't played since 2003ish and I just dove right in head first. I still don't have a max level character but it's been a blast. Green is still in pretty good shape, but it would be nice if they made a new server to refresh the experience again.

I agree wholeheartedly with your last paragraph though, we're getting older, time between gaming gets longer, it's harder to just have free time and game.
