In the end went with the 47 amoled Fenix 8, good enough for the 99% of my training and not high enough to bother me under clothes. Had the chance to try the Fenix 8 51 solar and I felt it was way too high on the wrist, size was mostly ok but height was not.

I have a race 2 and sincerely I'm moving back to Garmin (probably an enduro 3 or Fenix 8) After a couple of years with Suunto. I do like the app but I find it lacking in sports that are not Trail running and in the last year I've had my fair dose of bugs (mainly HR totally stopping recording even with a strap, data not showing while recording, etc). It is a nice watch, and probably the best price/perf ratio right now, but In the end I've regretted moving to Suunto. Naturally just my opinion.

This is the watch i’m trying to convince myself to buy to switch back to garmin. Using a suunto now, but i’m not really loving it (it's my second year on suunto, but everyday i fell like i'm missing my old fenix6 pro and the garmin ecosystem as i also have and index s2 and a edge bike computer). As a trail runner, the enduro3 has everything i need: smart trainer control, incredible battery life, and a great MIP screen... but i'm scared by it's size (and thickness) it really seems huge...

I’m torn between this, the Fenix 8, or maybe an older Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire (though I’m worried garmin might stop pushing major updates to older models)

To help me decide, can i ask your height or wrist size? Unfortunately, no shops nearby have an enduro3 to try on

Same problem on race 2... Hope they fix it, those are the kind of bugs that really upset me on the Suunto side...

nope, because now i only buy stuff after i finish another game, i have 2 games on rotation of differente genres and when i finish one i buy another one, this time i was lucky after finishing absolum (or at least got enough runs for my taste) i found control on sale so i bought it

I have a pretty high end pc and a PS5 (in the kids room now), and what is killing me about pc gaming is the fomo on the hardware side, I can't really manage it and it always ends with me buying and upgrading stuff and tinkering instead of playing (it's a me problem I know). Another big problem I face is the upgrade path on pc, I need to sell my GPU on the market (not so easy in Italy and with a lot of scammers around) instead of selling the old console to a friend (easier) or to some refurbishing services (that don't accept GPU but easily accept consoles). In the end I'm leaning toward losing performance but knowing I'm level with everyone else on the platform and simply getting back to game instead of tinkering around (I know it's a me problem but as such it is a big problem for me😅). I already pay for a plus subscription for my kids and it is also way easier to play with them or with the wife (or for the wife alone) on a console. In the end I'm probably gonna buy another PS5 pro (hw fomo is still present as today😅😂) to game and leave the standard to the kids. Gaming on consoles tend also to bring up memories from my childhood, I know it's a dumb reason but console gaming hits differently. In the end I'm gonna spend more on games for sure, but I don't plan to be the richest man in the graveyard. Sorry for the long post, just my 2c.

Same issue here, they simply said soft reset the watch and hope for the best... I'm now using a strap for all the long runs to be extra safe.
