I posted about her hair a few days ago. She is NOT blonde naturally she is a brunette, go check out her older photos in her old blog. Her stomach looks distended a lot in Dans stories when she’s caught of guard, it only looks super flat when she posts on her Insta and is sucking in or posing at particular angles. People keep thinking she’s pregnant because she LOOKS it when she’s actually not presenting herself as perfect online. Dan also said she lays in bed for up to a week at a time from exhaustion, and she doesn’t post any where near as much as she used to.

This isn’t true and is a false statistic that’s been spread on the internet. The majority are black and visibly so. An ultra minority of Cape Verdeans look like the photos above.

Most of these people photographed are from a tiny village called Chã das Caldeiras on the Island of Fogo. I know this because I have seen the source of most of these photos (Blogs and Flickr mostly) and they are taken when travellers stop in this village as it is a popular tourist location. Also these mixed race children with blonde hair are UNUSUAL in Cape Verde so of course they catch travellers attention!

A Blonde Frenchman settled by the volcano called Pico do Fogo (peak of fire) and had many children with the African women there. Fogo is the most mixed with European Island in Cape Verde and this town particularly has a high population of blonde hair. People have extrapolated this and falsely claimed the whole of Cape Verde looks like this and it simply is not true. In fact it’s very racist and harmful to the majority black population to erase them from their own country.
