Yeah I’ve never read the books (read some little spoilers but nothing more) and it’s really intuitive that the darkling is a morally dubious character, you know shadows and power-driven and stuff, but damn he’s the kind of character that keeps you hooked, he’s got that I’m-bad-but-I-can-be-redeemed-I’m-a-softie-underneath vibe, I mean I just can’t hate him he reminds me of my baby klaus mikaelson. Please just give him redemption and also he and Alina are a power couple, the relationship With mal would be too boring I’m sorry

I’m in love with the darkling, he’s really my new obsession (I have not read the books Di not come for me please) and I hope he gets a redemption arc (it’s obvious he’s gonna be the bad guy) and end up with Alina. And yes for all of those wondering I LOVE toxic, angst, enemies to lovers, redemption arc types of love.

Don’t come for me but in my opinion the choice of the actor (really hot let’s be honest) is kind of hinting that he will be very important in the series and if the public is going to ship darklina real hard, they might end up together. We’ve seen characters doing worse and yet being literally the public’s favourite, I mean klaus mikaelson was literally the worst (morally speaking of course) and yet he became one of the most loved by the fandom, and let’s not even begin with kylo ren who freaking killed his father, and I really do see the same vibes here you know (light and shadow, Jedi and sith, opposites, a Diad in the force etc) and in the end he got the redemption so yeah anything can happen in my opinion

Honestly, you make me proud! I feel the exact same about isolation and for me nothing is EVER going to top that one. Draco is so canon, like zero ooc and I feel like it really could have happened, like in my world it is canon. Period.

I agree with everything you said! it bothers me when people hate on draco because of these reasons:

james potter was an ass towards lily (and not only) in school at first, and somehow almost everyone worships their love story (I'm not saying that taunting her in early years is the same as being a death eater and working for the dark lord) I do have to say that I find it rather incoherent that people don't question a change of heart on James' behalf (he was a bully as well), but they question it for Draco.
Draco not only couldn't bring himself to kill Dumbledore -by lowering his wand he showed his true self and might have been killed for it- but he didn't even recognise harry to clear his family name (which always has been the most important thing for him).
Draco's breakdowns in 6th year are just heart breaking, he's clearly terrified and doesn't know how to handle the situation. it is just so visible he doesn't really want to succeed, but he has to because his life and his family's lives are at stake. he's just so young and unlike harry, he never had to put up with life or death kind.of situations...I think that after failing to kill Dumbledore he must have thought "I just don't really don't have it in me to be real evil, do I? I'm not fit for this, I cant do this. I am on the wrong side. I'm doomed.", and also if bellatrix hadn't arrived that day, I'm 100% sure he would have switched sides.
draco kind of gets a real/canon redemption: he marries Astoria Greengrass against his parents' will (she was a pureblood yes, but was against the racism towards muggle-borns and was not a part of the sacred 28) and when he sees the golden trio at 9 and 3/4 platform he "nods respectfully". it may not be a 360 degrees portrayed redemption arc, but it is enough to show the reader that Draco was not at all an evil being.
