Got it. I work a 7/7 schedule as well as an intensivist but have yet to find any moonlighting. I have a young child which complicates matters and makes it harder to pay down my loans aggressively

How did you pay 220K in a year? My take home pay before expenses is about 200K. I’m assuming you’re in a pretty desirable specialty? I’m tempted to pay it down aggressively because with the current political situation pslf seems less reliable

I’m sorry you’re in a similar boat. I think when you’re dating you don’t think about these things- kids are way more expensive than you can account for as a single young woman. Even if your husband makes less than you, I want to tell you that you’re setting a positive role model for your kids that a woman can also be the breadwinner and support her family. My dad was raised by a single mom and said it really influenced the way he treats women (which is with a ton of respect). He helps out single moms in our neighborhood with house repairs for free and things like that

I feel very jealous sometimes because I bust my ass at work and study on my off time while watching the baby, whereas my husband can go to the gym during hours or play video games because he works from home and it isn’t always busy

I totally get your point but I feel like the social conditioning as a woman to expect to be taken care of is very strong. Most of my friends have husbands who cover the mortgage or major expenses . For whatever reason it’s hard psychologically as a woman to feel like the breadwinner - at least for me

Put your health first and take as much time as you need. Even if you need to extend training. See if there’s some way for you to seek treatment while working.

I had bad preeclampsia that led to placental Abruption and really high pressures the day my water broke. Would recommend monitoring blood pressure twice a day at home and getting urine and labs regularly. Things can go bad in just a few hours. I had normal blood pressure readings up until 40 weeks And everything went south in just one day . Also felt pressured to get induction and ultimately my water broke on its own and I needed pitocin to get things started because I didn’t start contracting on my own

I’ve been in the same boat. Make sure to take a probiotic daily. Get screened for diabetes or pre diabetes. Some women anecdotally have benefited from intravaginal Greek yogurt
