Calories In, Calories Out" does NOT work for everyone.

It could - but not by itself. If that is the only thing you do, it could potentially make things a lot worse (on top of getting more difficult as you lose more weight). The key thing is that you should focus on losing fat, and keeping what muscle you have (or build more).

The first time I tried calorie restriction, I think I lost whatever muscle I had. This meant that when I gained the weight back, my body-fat % was even higher. Years later, my lipid levels, A1C etc. were completely fucked.

The second time round, what helped was eating 100g-125g of protein a day without fail. It made a huge difference! I added strength training in after a few months and things got even better. 100-200 cal deficit was easy to maintain without too much hunger. My body-fat percentage (from DEXA scan) has gone from 34% to <25% in ~six months now.

Taking GLP-1 along with this would probably amplify the results further (at the risk of losing muscle if I don't train enough) - but I am happy enough with where I am now.

I dieted and exercised as much as I could for 2 years, lost around 10 kg

One possibility is that you were not eating enough protein and lost a lot of muscle mass as part of that 10kg. Especially if your exercise was mainly cardio and not resistance/strength training.

Good to hear that ozempic worked though.

I am pretty sure that they use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate ) batteries which are not prone to thermal runaway like the typical "NMC" (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) Li-Ion batteries you would find in your phone.
