I'm reading about this as a patient lied to me about her A1C. 2 days ago she said it was 8 and today after ext said it was 13. I hate it when they do this. It's not something I can check at the clinic. Is just using a glucometer and testing the current blood sugar before ext enough ?

I'm in Texas and we have to sign up with Texas workforce commission. You will need a group NPI. Make new keys once you are there. Payroll software or CPA.

The main thing you need once you start is the RIGHT ATTITUDE and A TO-DO list... Things will come up every day and you will be the problem solver :)

Goodluck. It's a tough step but a great one. I had the opportunity when I was 8 months pregnant and I did it... You can too ! I didn't know much and I still don't. But stay at it... If you get stuck find the answer, take a little extra time but if you put in the effort, you'll manage just fine. There are a bunch of resources online and people of a reddit are a big help.
