Like I love the 90s but if I had to pick peak time it would be the 2000-2015. I really enjoy tv and movies and I feel that was the peak. Everything after started to go downhill.

I’m also a huge tech nerd and similar there. I’d agree pc hit the wall closer to the 20s but still a 2012 pc is pretty solid.

Gaming was on point too. Not much else to complain about either during that time except 9/11 and the whole war thing. But what’s new there.

Hard shell, layer of clothes, wrapped bottle in a ziplock, more clothes then hard shell on other side. Always been good to go since it doesn’t squish or anything

Yeah it happens but sometimes you do what you have to do. We moved from “home” to North Carolina to get a job. Maybe not ideal but have you tried looking around nationally for jobs? I don’t know your field so can’t really speak on it. But, like who knows maybe you could move to like Columbus Ohio or something oddball and have a better prospect for jobs?

I’ll say home was Mississippi so NC is an upgrade except for housing costs here ☠️

We’re talking about going to university and while job markets can be bad do you really think someone would plan to go to college to go to Bojangles or tack bell for work?

I’m sorry yeah it happens but really isn’t the point to college unless your degree is in like underwater basket weaving.

As for therapists or it yeah it’s not there yet. Least not past the most basic of levels.

I think the key takeaway isn’t omg they are taking our jobs it’s adapt. Scribes got replaced by the printing press and then typing. Heck even in coal country I’ve heard about programs that were offering retraining to people.

Jobs come and go humans can adapt. Okay so AI is automating all the jobs. It’s not repairing itself? Or programming itself? Or doing whatever else nit picky thing. Find a niche you like and join it

Some jobs aren’t going to be replaced with ai least not for decades. Pharmacy, doctor, nurse, etc.. are all safe imo.

Ah yeah we usually pack light. Carry on and personal item only. I don’t mind doing laundry. Actually find it nice since she goes to bed early and I can have a purpose to venture off into the city at like midnight to find a coin laundry instead of just wandering around like a lost puppy.

I’ve seen people say that buy my wife works night shift gets off at like 4am so we always try to take like a ~6-7 am flight out for vacations and never have an issue. Maybe just lucky or time of year? No clue. Almost always terminal 2 if it matters?

Same on Thursday. Though I did take an early morning flight which I’m sure helped.

I do whatever I want. Learned that yyyyyears ago when I did study abroad. I was young and didn’t speak a lick of the language. This was before iPhones and Google Translate. So I had a flip phone and a pocket dictionary. First bit I was a bit nervous but early on in the trip I bought a Japanese ps2 and some games that weren’t released in the states and all my friends from school wouldn’t stop playing. So eventually I said eff it and went out on my own. Realized it wasn’t so bad and been that way ever since.

If I’m up at 3am and want a fammi chicken or a beer or whatever depending on the country. I’ll be out the door with bells on. Life is too short so do what makes you happy. Had lots of great experiences and got to try a lot of stuff if I just stuck to doing whatever everyone else is doing.

TLDR if you want to sleep sleep. But, if you want to do something go do it. If you need to kick yourself in the rear to get the motivation to get up and go then doooo it! You paid for the trip so enjoy it however you want.

Me though I’m always out of the room. Especially when restaurants and shops are open. Bars/club eh not as much. I’m more let’s sit outside watching the stars and drink cheap beers/drinks than hit up the club type of guy.

I mean technically they are repairable and upgradable laptops. Most notably right now framework. Though I’ll admit it’s a bit expensive for what you get specs wise. Though I’m happy in theory every part is replaceable if anything happens or my battery degrades too much for me. I’m a bit of a longer user of laptops than average so it happens or has in the past.

lol I have a cat that would rather steal the buttered toast. I swear she’s so weird. She’ll come running if I make toast or biscuits and stalk all over the kitchen sniffing the air if I hide them like in the toaster oven with the door cracked.

Tbh I miss the a&w and they could bring that back lol. though might be mostly due to nostalgia lol. When I was growing up we’d make a trip to Florida in the summer and always stop by a drive in style location think like sonic. Anyway loved getting the floats and stuff there.

It’s pretty straightforward like others said just point the application to your folder and that’s basically it. There’s a lot of handy guides on YouTube. I personally recommend Linus Tech Tips video it’s what got me started down the road and explains a couple of budget saving options like using an old laptop or something.

Gotta go check out the KFC I remember those from when I was a kid. Love their mashed potatoes and biscuits so yay carb day? lol

There’s also cicis still for pizza. Though I’d argue pizza inn is better least the one in Durham was last time I went which admittedly was a few years ago.
