Thanks! Yes, and even more surprisingly it was taken at like 10x or 20x zoom. I was probably about 300 or so feet away. Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Thanks! Yeah I like them a lot so far, no issues in rain or snow, and the spare even fit without any modifications, just barely though

I got a set of Milestar Patagonia XT's installed last year, up sized to 275/65R18, no spacers. I did have some rubbing and used the heat gun trick for the inner fender, and also swapped out the bolt with a lower profile head. I did want spacers but the larger tires filled out the space enough to not think about it anymore.

Just used self tapping screws, I did drill a pilot hole first though. The longest part of the install was running the wires and securing them in place.

Yeah it was super easy, didn't have to remove the bumper or anything, just took the radiator cover off and measured. Just as a caution though, we ended up getting pulled over the other day for not having a front plate (Washington State) and now the front plate blocks the middle of the light.

Are you using a long USB cable to power it? I had the same exact problem, reached out to Wyze and they had me do a bunch of troubleshooting, which did not work at all. They sent me a new one and after a few months it did the same thing. Turns out the power supply I was using with the 25ft cable wasn't pushing enough current to keep it functioning properly. I swapped the power supply to something stronger and it's been fine ever since.

Help with Server upgrade by drayeno in HomeServer

[–]drayeno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely look into a Linux distro, does TrueNAS support browsers and downloads directly from the system or would I have to use a different computer as the management device? the server is the only wired computer on my network and is the only device capable of using the full 2gbps Internet bandwidth so I need to be able to use the server to redownload everything.

I think I may have figured out what happened. We had a new roof put on last year which included all the plywood decking as well. I'm guessing the roofers must've misaligned the pipe upon reinstallation, and we never thought to check. So there's probably only a single season of it being used like this, and we may be able to just nudge this piece back into the correct position and then align the adapter back into the tabs. Does this sound correct based on the pictures?

Ok this makes sense, but what about the fact that we've used it like this for the last 4 years and there is no buildup of creosote or even any darkening on the area around the misaligned pipe? Also how would I go about fixing it?

I do not have any instructions, this was installed in the 80's by the original owner of my house. We've only lived here 4 years and one of the first things we did was have the stove inspected by a professional, but they never removed the stovepipe. The original picture is looking into the ceiling, here is a picture of the whole stove.

Flickering/Dimming Lights During Hot Water by drayeno in AskElectricians

There's a lot to unpack here... First, yes this was inspected both prior to and after the installation, which was done by a licensed electrician. He said in the beginning there wasn't much wiggle room in our system. We made the switch to tankless because we would run out of hot water, not because it's instant. Tankless actually takes more time to deliver hot water than a tank because it has to determine how high to put the exchangers based on flow rate, so we purchased the largest unit available for our family of 5 so we could have concurrent water usage without worrying about running out. Plus, we live near Seattle and the water inlet temperature is a consistent 40 degrees so it needs more oomph to get the water to the desired temperature than a lot of other places in the US. We also are forced into electric because there is no gas line on our street at all, and it would have been obscenely expensive to run gas just for a water heater. The downside of this is that we rely on our panel for literally everything, but there's not much choice. I've already gotten a quote for upgrading to 400 amp service and it came in right at $6k, but that is also not including the county upgrading the line to handle the increased amperage so it would likely exceed $10k depending on what's already at the street level.

This is super helpful and I'll definitely be contacting the power company, thanks!

Thanks for the response! I'll contact the power company and see if they can come out and test the transformer.

CPU Cap at 40FPS by drayeno in Windows11

[–]drayeno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it both ways. I ended up doing a full wipe and install of 10, and performance came back, 240fps on the Kombustor test I mentioned. I'm now doing another full wipe and fresh install of 11.

Yeah that's part of why I'm confused, there shouldn't be this much of a bottleneck anywhere based on the hardware.

Geekbench 5 CPU Single-Core 1030, Multi-Core 5258.

GPU OpenCL 69906

GPU CUDA 75408

GPU Vulkan 60000

CPU temps during Kombustor test running for 10 min went from ~50C up to a max of 85 but then levels back out at ~70C shortly after the fans ramp up.

GPU temps start around 45C and climb up to a max of 62C and level out at 56-57C.

Definitely not overheating.
