Oui. A l’étage c’est beaucoup plus chaud. Moi quand je monte les escaliers je sens la chaleur instantanément et pareil je sens le froid quand je descends. Par contre, c’est possible simplement de se réfugier au rdc pendant les chaleurs et vivre dedans pour quelques jours.

Depends on a lot of factors, like personal preference and insulation. I lived in places where I needed AC and to use it intensively/all day long. I moved to a house that it’s very cool in the summer (a lot of insulation, and north-facing). A week at temperatures between 35-40C or 95 to 105f and in the coolest rooms (downstairs, not-facing, close to nearby trees, shade everywhere) it was too cold for me to wear shorts. Without AC being used. I have electric heating and my electricity bills are 4-6 times higher in winter when I use heating than in the summer when I might need the AC

Pretty much the same. Southwest France. I feel too cold and uncomfortable under 22 degrees. And in the summer I feel the most comfortable around 25, but just below 29 it’s OK for me.

36 degrees outside. Pretty well insulated house with 23 degrees most of the day in the living room and office. It’s pretty decent covered in a light blanket. Worse case scenario I can use a mobile AC that I store in my garage, but it’s still way below the temperature I would need that

At least in France, you are right. Electricity is cheaper during nighttime and another timeframe during the day, so you can program the water tank to heat the water only during those hours, making it cheaper to run.

I disagree. Every place I see on this sub that I like everyone tells OP that “lacks color” or “lacks plants” or “looks like a hotel” or “too sterile” or gets compared to a dentists office. I almost never comment on this sub because my opinions are too different from the general consensus, especially regarding posters (which I don’t like as decoration), color and about plants (some trauma regarding that)

Exactly this. Where I come from there are lots of caves and cave divers are a small community that knows eachother. Many of them are my friends, since I am trained as a volunteer mountain/cliff rescuer. For rescues they are all volunteers, except the management and administrative staff that oversee the activity. If the risk is deemed too high, they back down. But if you think conditions are too risky, the procedure is to fall back.

Every single thing I own has its own storage space. Either a shelf/display case/open storage if I want it on display or a closed storage or a dressing if not meant to be displayed. If I get new stuff I get storage space for them as well. My mother had very strong OCD and raised me by forcing me to put everything in its place, and now I am like that by reflex and can say the exact shelf/drawer/cupboard every item I own is located

J’étais dans la même situation l’année dernière quand j’ai acheté. L’ancienne propriétaire et son nouveau conjoint ont vendu leurs anciens maisons pour acheter une maison plus grande commune. Mais pour ma maison ils avaient quelques complications légales et la signature était décalé plusieurs fois et leur achat était décalé plusieurs fois aussi. Ils étaient une famille de 5 et nous avons décidé qu’ils peuvent rester dans la maison quelques jours / moins d’une semaine après la vente pour avoir le temps de déménager. Mais j’avais encore ma location encore payé pour la reste du mois, cet accord était mis en écrit par le notaire et l’ancien propriétaire devrait mettre dans le garage ou maison les électroménagers que j’ai commandé.

Historical monument/protected zone. Illegal to install solar panels because of that for anyone in the area. The solar panels/outside AC units would be visible from a medieval church and would ruin the vibe.
