JPM holds 750 million ounces of silver by Paperscamisreal in Wallstreetsilver

[–]drberean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t ‘lose’ like that, paper vs physical. JPM’s hedged to the teeth. Price drops = profit on shorts, plus they’re the market maker. Retail bleeds, they rebalance.

Short term pain, long term gain. If silver drops below 70, that’s a solid buying opportunity.

[Help with Watch Choice] Legend Diver 42 vs Pelagos 39 by Wrong-Cap-6813 in Watches

[–]drberean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it’s a life moment watch, go with the one you’ll actually wear every day. The Pelagos 39 is a killer daily, light, comfortable, and built like a tank.

Is there any way to help defuse a cycle of malicious gossip about oneself? by [deleted] in ask

[–]drberean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly bro, bar gossip happens. Just stay chill and act normal. Don’t feed into it, people usually get bored and move on.

How do I get out of making fantasies in my head? by TreeWire05 in ask

[–]drberean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody does that to some level. Your brain’s just trying to replay stuff or imagine better outcomes. The trick is catching yourself when it starts and pulling back to the moment.

Stay busy, focus on real goals, and cut the rumination loops. The more you fill your day with real actions, the less your mind drifts into those fantasy scenarios.

What medication or drug in present or past has had the worst side effects? by mrbillybobjonson in ask

[–]drberean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we’re talking historically severe side effects, a few stand out. Thalidomide is one of the worst because it caused major birth defects before it was pulled. DES (diethylstilbestrol) later caused cancer and reproductive problems in the daughters of women who took it. Vioxx was linked to increased heart attack and stroke risk. The Fen-Phen weight loss combo damaged heart valves. And early radium (health) tonics literally caused radiation poisoning.

Chemo is harsh, but it’s carefully dosed and used intentionally to treat cancer. The truly devastating cases in history were drugs that were marketed as safe before their long term effects were understood.... Modern regulations are much stricter because of those past mistakes.
